I came to this hotel for two nights because I had a death in the family. When I booked through Expedia, I got a double bed room with city view and paid for breakfast. When I went to check in to the hotel after being in a funeral all day, he said that the room was only reserved for one person and did not include breakfast. I was confused because even though I reserved for one person, the room had two beds so I didn’t understand why he couldn’t just check us in. I went to Expedia to look ant the same hotel and same room for two people and it was exactly the same price I already paid. After explaining we were there for a family emergency, he still didn’t budge. I then needed to pay 90 extra dollars for my mom to stay in a room that already had two beds. In my reservation, I also paid for breakfast but I had to pay another 20 dollars. The next morning when I’m headed to breakfast with my mom, the front desk saw that I had breakfast for one person which means the hotel did see that I had paid for breakfast. I was more confused why I was charged more. I ended up paying 110 dollars more at the hotel on top of what Expedia already charged me for the stay. On top of all this, the hotel smells so musty. Sleeping there was hurting my throat of how musty it is and I feel this hotel should not be operational due to potential health concerns. If that smell is mold, it is unsafe to stay at that hotel

Dominican fiesta has been amazing, I've been comjng here since the pandemic 2020.We came back to celebrate my wifes birthday in July 2025. I was upgraded to the newly renovated rooms on the third floor. I was so impressed by the major upgrades. I definitely recommend staying here if you're in Santo Domingo.

Staff is excellent but the property is outdated. AC did not work in my room and despite maintenance coming to fix it, it still didn’t work. They offered to change my room but I was already checking out that day so I refused. They extended my check out as a courtesy.

I paid $30 extra to check in early, which was cool until I found out the room that I was in had just been fumigated and it was very obvious. I spoke to them about setting me up in another room which never cool down although the AC was on the lowest setting And in addition there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling which create a pool of water. I was disappointed.

Fake advertisement on the rooms. I paid over 4K for this trip and the room was horrible. Bathtub had mold wasn’t cleaned. The room had a horrible old wet rug smell. The rug also had throw up on it. I had to keep asking for towels. No wash clothes were available for my family. For how expensive the hotel is. They need to do a better job.
