I’ll start with the good, location. This hotel is perfectly located to walk to all the attractions, the river and shops. This property is in desperate need of a make over. The carpet in our room was very disgusting and stained and furniture was very old and banged up. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were pristine white. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

The lady at the front desk was so patient and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She even brought our cup we left in the lobby to our room. She went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed. I wish I remembered her name! Perfect location!

The room did not look like the photos on the website. Our room was smaller. It was cramped. The room needs to be updated/repainted… rusty spots on bathroom door….while someone was sitting at the desk, there wasn’t enough room to walk around to get to the bathroom. … Good thing is the location— the location is wonderful. It is in the historical district. Easy walk to restaurants, shops and trolley pick-up.

The staff who greeted us upon our check-in on Sunday were very friendly. However, the lady overseeing breakfast and checkout on Monday wasn't the friendliest. The breakfast options were quite limited; the choices did not resemble what was shown in the pictures in their advertisements. The outside of the hotel looked pretty run-down and in need of some TLC. At least the door latches to the rooms had previously been reinforced for safety. Our room had a musty smell coming from the A/C, and the bathroom smelled like a dirty mop. While we understand that we get what we pay for, I chose this hotel for the price, location, and also because of the "photos" that made it seem like a nice, clean place to stay. However, I now suspect that many of the photos were stock images. That said, it did serve its purpose of giving us a place to sleep. The beds were comfortable, it was pretty quiet, and the staff on Sunday afternoon were very professional and friendly.

The room is nothing pictured. We smelled mold and mildew,which i have allergies to, no service durjng stay. Only one chair. Rokm small. Had to pay $75. For parking ( which was not noted) also suppose to have breakfast. I called to check on meal and they had cold coffee ,a couple boxes ,flavors,cereal and bagels. I was told sausage ,cereal, bagels and pancakes.Tables crammed in lobby , you could't get around the 2 tables. NOT we ended going out and closest restaurant , for eggs and bacon was $65. Crazy

Although the exterior & interior of the hotel definitely need upgrading, the breakfast was adequate (really neat pancake making machine), the staff was stellar, & the location was ideal. It would also have been appreciated to inform us in advance of the $25 daily parking fee.

Birthday week

We were there five nights,accomidations were good, the location is excellent close to everything we will consider staying there again in the future. Can't say enough about the location it's totally worth it.
