It’s nestled among the cedars on the shore of Lake McDonald. It’s a quiet, non-motorized private lake with no public access- just for residents and guests to enjoy! Use any of our water toys, or take our floating dock with its electric trolling motor for a ride. The Cottage House has a full bathroom, a king bedroom, and a queen bedroom with twin loft, and the Detached Cottage is just steps away with another king bedroom, kitchenette, pull out single sofa bed, and bathroom, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a vacation with family and friends! And don’t forget, downtown Seattle is an easy drive, & we are only 20 minutes from SeaTac airport.

• Outdoor Fun- check out the lake on any one of our various water toys (kayaks, paddle boat, stand up paddle boards, canoe, floaties, or our floating dock), fish the stocked lake, enjoy the lakeside fire pit, or grill up a lovely meal to enjoy on the deck with a lake view. A Friendly Reminder: the property is fenced, however the waterfront is not. Please consider this when booking with small children, or children who do not swim well. No lifeguards are available. We do have an assortment of life jackets. Feel free to ask if you’d like to verify sizes.
Steps & Accessibility: Please note that the landscaping is not always level, as the property is on a slope down to the lake and paths are made of pavers. Outdoor steps without railings are in several locations as well. Guests with balance issues and/or certain mobility issues may not feel comfortable walking around the property, even though the cottages are single story. Please refer to the photos and use your best judgment. Let us know if you have questions or concerns. We’d be happy to help.
No Parties or Events: Please note that we do not allow parties or events on the property. This is a family community, with neighbors who live here full time. Please observe our quiet hours of 9pm-8am.
Pets: since many of our neighbors have pets, and the lake has wildlife, we try to minimize any disruption by not allowing pets. *Allergy Disclosure- this property does have the owner’s dogs visit periodically, although the property is cleaned and maintained regularly.
Amenities: All amenities are inspected prior to every check-in, however, we cannot guarantee their working condition during stays. If any amenity or feature stops working during your stay we will make every attempt to repair the item, but cannot guarantee the repair can be completed during your stay, nor guarantee a refund of a portion of your stay.
Guests: minimum age of 25 to book a stay. Children are welcome. Maximum guest count of 8, no exceptions.
Parking: EV charger. Free parking for 3-4 vehicles onsite, free street parking available as well. Our parking area is gravel and sloped, with a steep paved entrance
Cancellations: While we have a generous cancellation policy, we would like to encourage you to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking if you are concerned about the possibility of canceling your trip last minute. We appreciate your understanding.
