Older is better sometimes

Very nice finely aged hotel. Super clean and bed was very comfortable (220 lbs.) Nice little breakfast nook with very cool outdoor seating area. Next to hospital but never heard anything. Great for your budget!

This hotel is an older building with unique charm. Everything worked well and the staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The breakfast there was quite good. But this hotel is connected to a medical center, Virginia Mason, and has no on-site parking. Public Parking in downtown Seattle is very expensive and TERRIBLE. If I stayed here again, it would only be with using Uber.

Good for a place to crash. Better than budget hotels. Obviously not a luxury hotel. Need key/or buzzed in from intercom to enter building. Staff was nice, there was some sort of a cafe in lobby. Clean. Older building but it was cool. No AC but that’s stated in the description.

The staff were awesome and service was great. My issue has to do with the physical state of the room- the hotel is a little dilapidated and needs updating. There was no reception on our TV, and we had to open the windows to air out the room which was stifingly hot; however, we were next to a generator that hummed all night. A dirty towel was left behind - I think it was missed by housekeeping - and one of the drawers in the dresser was not securely seated in the drawer and when I pulled it out, it fell onto my foot (I wasn't expecting it to fall out so easily). It's a basic room and served our needs but for the price, not sure it was worth it.
