As soon as we arrived the valet staff made us feel most welcome. They were quick and attentive and always opened the doors before we could. Especially Ricardo and Nate. Jose at the front desk was jovial and efficient. There was hot cider in the lobby one day and got chocolate the next. And coffee every morning. The pool and outdoor area are spectacular! Great views, will maintained. And then you walk down to the creek! Our room was spacious and clean and quite well appointed. This was our 2nd annual girls weekend after the stress of the holiday. I hope to see you many more years.

I stayed at the Amara over Thanksgiving, which was also my birthday, and unfortunately the experience fell short. The staff and location were great, but my room was terrible for the price—an “upgrade” to a corner room that faced two large bushes, felt closed-in, had an awkward layout (the TV faced the side of the bed), and required maintenance just to get the heater working. The hotel was booked out with locals and tourists, and they only offered a Thanksgiving dinner instead of their regular menu, so I was forced to order it if I wanted to eat on-site. When I went to the pool, no staff were around, and even after mentioning it was my birthday, no one acknowledged it. It felt like all the attention went to guests purchasing the holiday dinner. Overall, not worth the cost and not the birthday experience I hoped for.

Valet parking with in/outs, location and walkability were great but in my opinion it is over priced and over rated for what it is. There were ants in our bathroom, robes/towels werent replaced, the heat fan was quite loud all night which disturbed our sleep. The hot tub was not inviting as it was poorly lit area as was the grass area. We paid quite a bit per night and the resort was rated as 4.5 stars but the overall experience did not match up.

The Resort is beautiful and is in a prime location to Uptown Sedona. Riley at the front desk was very helpful with questions we had as it was our first time in Sedona.

The Amara Resort & Spa was truly exceptional hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and we’ve stayed at many five-star properties. We had to make a last-minute change after another hotel failed to honor our reservation, and Amara went above and beyond to accommodate us. From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, perfectly located in the heart of downtown Sedona, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The property is stunning from the pool area to the lush creekside grounds, everything feels peaceful and luxurious. We were here for our elopement, and the team made sure every detail was perfect they even provided a light-up makeup mirror for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, which means a lot coming from someone with back issues. The restaurant and bar were fantastic, the food was excellent, and the valet service made everything effortless. Overall, our experience at Amara exceeded every expectation. I can’t recommend it highly enough it truly made our wedding trip unforgettable, and I can’t wait to come back!

For $600.00/night breakfast should be included. I waited to be seated for breakfast. No-one came, so I assumed I needed to seat myself. Had to beg someone for a menu. Had to beg someone to take my order. Had to beg someone for the bill ($16.00 for yogurt with granola) Waited 20 minutes for the bill, it never came. Building & walkways are in disrepair. Rooms need repainting. I will not be recommending this hotel. Lobby staff was courteous and friendly.
