Convenient location
The hotel was located in the very centre of Myeongdong which has its merits and negatives. Obviously it’s super convenient for shopping and food as well as the subway station and bus network (including the airport bus). However, the negative is that it’s a noisy area to stay in. If you get a room facing the back it’s fine - no noise at all. However rooms at the front do suffer from noise until about 11pm or so.
The staff at the hotel were fantastic. Although there isn’t a front desk there are staff on duty downstairs who are always happy to help.
I stayed in a double room and it was comfortable with everything I needed. The bathroom was a wet room style which I don’t like so much because the whole floor gets wet. The hotel does allow you to pick up fresh towels though so you can dry the floor and swap out towels after each shower. You get fresh towels and bin emptied every day and rooms are properly cleaned every 3 days. There is a common area on each floor with a coffee machine, microwave, fridge and seating. There’s a rooftop area although that was closed during my stay for building works. There are washing machines (small charge which includes detergent).
