Staying at Honey Bear feels like stepping into your own private mountain retreat. From the moment you arrive, the sweeping views of the Smokies take your breath away, and you can already feel the stress of everyday life melting away. Inside, the cabin is spacious and thoughtfully laid out—perfect for groups of up to 9. Our mornings were spent enjoying coffee on the upper deck, watching the valley slowly come to life, and evenings were all about laughter, friendly competition on the pool table, and cozying up by the firepit as the mountain air cooled.
The bedrooms are a dream—two main floor suites with private baths and a top-floor loft with a king bed, futon, ensuite, and its own deck overlooking the valley. Having a washer and dryer right in one of the main floor bedrooms made our longer stay effortless. Every night, falling asleep to the serene sounds of the mountains felt like pure magic.
Honey Bear’s location in Wears Valley is unbeatable: peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature, yet just a short drive from charming local spots. It’s quieter than Gatlinburg, giving you space to relax, reconnect, and create lasting memories. We left already planning our next trip back—there’s simply no place like it.
