Budget hotel with worn out bed

The floor is DISGUSTING. After taking shoes and socks off and walking around the room for 10 minutes while settling in, my feet were black. Do staff mop the hotel without cleaning the mop? The room was great for a budget hotel with everything needed but the bed is stuffed. Throw it out. Its totally sagging and gave me a very sore back

For that price range, it can't get any better. Rooms are large and comes with bathtub, which is rare. Has a swimming pool and one of the most affordable laundry around. Train station is walkable, with bus stop within a short walk and surrounded by eateries. Hotel may be a bit dated, thus it does look old school and worn out a bit but overall for the price would gladly return without a heartbeat.

Perfect overnighter

It's a great area, everything works, the pool is great, it's lovely and spacious. It's basic, the decor is tired, but priced accordingly. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. We love it as an overnighter on our travels.

Hotel 81 Tristar was in an excellent location. It was close enough to the city that we could easily travel to attractions but far away enough that we felt like we were surrounded by normal Singaporean people. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was a good size and clean.

People complain about this hotel need to understand that it is old, guests eat in their rooms so thus ant will come! Finding another hotel with large rooms and a swimming pool at this price is hard to find! The taxi drivers are very impressed for the value! Have stayed here many times with my young family and will continue to do! Only ENTITLED guests complain!

Nice hotel. They clean the room everyday and give free coffee. Near the mall, Starbuck, food district, Burger King, 7 Eleven and Peya Labar station (yellow & green line). They also have swimming pool.

This is a gorgeous retreat hotel. Pool and ocean side by side with a beautiful buffet breakfast for 2 dollars a couple. Make sure you ask. Staff friendly and helpful in every way. I will come back. Your a street removed so not as noisy. Tons of restaurants and night life. Tours at hotel reasonable and they take care of everything. I’m solo so great place, so beautiful the surroundings.
