One of the few true ski in, ski out slope side townhouse condos at Snowshoe. Step out the back door to your choice of green, blue or black slopes. STEMWINDER 15 is a spacious, well maintained townhouse located at the top of the newly upgraded Powder Monkey Lift. Western territory (Cupp Run, Shay's Revenge) is just a 2 minute walk as is the bus stop for those wanting to night ski at Silver Creek. Tuque’s Bar, The Pizza Slice and the fine dining of the Appalachian Kitchen are also located at the top of the Powder Monkey Lift. The village shops and restaurants are a short 5 minute walk. Stay at STEMWINDER 15 for a real wood burning fireplace (wood provided, no extra fee), get FREE and CLOSE parking (unlike village condos). Our back door opens to the slope side deck with a gas grill. There are 3 bedrooms (2 dividable king & 2 queen bunk beds) plus 2 sleeper sofas, 2 full baths plus a half bath, sleeps 11. Full eat-in kitchen with granite counter tops. Washer and dryer in unit. STEMWINDER 15 has been family owned for over 30+ years (continually upgraded) and we strive to maintain it in top condition. Owner managed.
Please note, we love animals, but this is a pet-free rental home. No smoking. Enjoy the best ski in ski out Snowshoe has to offer, Stemwinder 15.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Leave beds that have been slept in unmade. Strip sheets off of any couch beds that were slept on. Pile used towels on bathroom floor. Be sure to close and latch any windows that were opened.
Recover grill if used. Trash dumpster is in Stemwinder parking lot.
Checkout is 10am.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Five Star Stay!!! Location is amazing, true ski in/ski out as the back porch is right next to the Powder Monkey lift. Walking distance to Tuque’s Bar/Grille was a major plus for everyone! We loved that we could walk to the Village as well! Accommodations were great and we loved all the extra amenities provided, everything we needed was already there. Autumn was a great host and made sure our stay was outstanding…would definitely recommend…this was one of our best stays on the mountain over 17 years!!! Yall should book now before your dates are gone!!

This condo was very clean and well maintained. Literally steps away from the Powder Monkey lift, we couldnt have asked for a better location. Autumns communication was great and the welcome basket she left was filled with really nice, actually useful stuff. Im not sure we have stayed in a vrbo that was better furnished.

One grandson says best experience of his life time! It was a good experience because it was a walkout to the ramp and the restaurant was beside us. It was fantastic!The beds were comfortable the light switches were cool and unique. I liked that it was easy to get to the snowshoe ski place and I also liked that there was a heater to heat up our shoes and clothes. We stayed at Stemwinder 15 and it was the best stay that we have had yet! Good thing we were right next to Powder Monkey ski lift because we had skied a lot and it was really easy to get back home. Really loved this place!

Nice place, great location

Well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better allowing one to strap your skis/board on just outside the back door. I had a question at the very beginning of the trip and the owner responded promptly. I hope to find the opportunity to stay here again!

Perfect Spacious Yet Cozy Snowshoe Spot

We highly recommend this place! We've been to Snowshoe five years and this is the best yet. Stemwinder is the perfect location - from ski-in-ski out to location near Tuques and the Pizza Slice. Super quick walk to Village. Made our time at Snowshoe great!Living Room and primary bedroom have amazing views of the slopes (top of Powder Monkey is right outside). Bathrooms and all bedrooms were clean. Kitchen well-was clean and stocked with all kinds of cookware and utensils, etc. Nice big table. Spacious entryway and nook area for boots, etc. The owner even called to check in and see how things were going. Would definitely book again! Only issue was it was on the heat was on the high side (silly to complain, given it was cold outside) and we weren't really sure how to turn the heat down a tad.

Perfect family ski in / ski out

Property was very clean and had absolutely everything you need for a wonderful home away from home vacation. The location is unmatched! It doesn’t get more ski in / ski out than this, and it’s an easy 5 min walk to the village. What more could you ask for!? Highly recommend!

Dream ski/out location

Let me start off by saying I’ve been coming to snowshoe for 20+ years and this is the Best place on snowshoe! This is a Great location right next to lift and the accommodations were as told they would be, everything you need in the kitchen just like being at home which by the way the Owner (Jim) made me feel like I was his Family at his Home. Son’s birthday ski weekend

We stayed in this condo a few years ago and absolutely loved it, so we booked it again this year for our son’s 18th birthday. He brought along a few of his HS friends and we had an awesome time! You can’t beat this location for ski in/out! It’s also just a short walk to the village, and Tuque’s (fun and tasty restaurant) is right across the lift from you. Western Territory is also close by. We’ll definitely keep this one on our list for future trips to snowshoe.
