Sweetwater Farmhouse offers 3 bedrooms with 1.5 baths, a fully equipped kitchen with dining space for the whole family, and a charming family room with a stone fireplace. Guests will also enjoy a wraparound porch for outdoor dining, relaxation or remote work. The farm boasts 40 acres to explore trails, beautiful views & peaceful evenings around the campfire.
We are located in the Laurel Highlands of Southwestern PA with three ski resorts, many trails and streams, state parks, wineries & breweries, Flight 93 Memorial, Falling Water and more. Our farmhouse offers fresh air, peacefulness, and your own trails just a bit off the beaten path. So no matter what type of adventure or getaway you may be looking for, beautiful Somerset county has so much to offer!

If you want to relax in a country environment with opportunities to bike the Great Allegheny Passage, hike at 5 nearby state parks, view Covered Bridges and/or visit Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob and other Frank Lloyd Wright homes at Polymath this is the vacation rental for you. We have rented Sweetwater Farm for three years and are looking forward to returning.

Family Reunion

This was our second year staying at Sweetwater Farm. We add a couple days to our trip down to enjoy the house, hiking trail, Fire pit, and surrounding areas. Jill makes sure the house is immaculate and that we have everything we need. The front porch is a favorite gathering place for a little quiet time. A mama Phoebe set up camp above a post and it took 2 days for her to realize that we weren’t predators! We have already booked our stay for 2026!

Beautiful property! Older farm house thats been renovated and updated.Had everything we needed fo the weekend of golfing and participating in an archery event.Communication was excellent. House lays out even better than expected.I look forward to returning.

The house is a lovely old farm house which is well appointed and very nicely decorated. A great place to get away. We arrived late in the evening and the porch lights were on and there were fresh flowers in every room.

Autumn Bliss 🍁

Somerset county is so beautiful in the fall and Sweetwater Farm definitely fit the picturesque concept of Autumn we all have in our heads. The farm had tons of space, a fantastic fire pit, and an awesome host! Jill had the place well stocked with amenities and so clean and tidy. Everything was decorated for the fall time, complete with indoor decorations and pumpkins outside, Everything was perfect for us. There are tons of local sites and fall festivities in the area, so you will never be bored when visiting from out of town here Thanks for the perfect weekend, Jill!

A delightful, hidden gem

We highly recommend this delightful, hidden gem when you're visiting the Somerset, PA area. It's a beautiful home with all the amenities one needs to have a "home away from home". The location is beautiful, allowing anyone to get away from any urban hustle and bustle and just rest within nature. There are so many wonderful things to explore and enjoy around this house, and the property is well maintained with an incredible, helpful host.

Perfect gathering place!

Three sisters, two with spouses thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Sweetwater Farm! Our ultimate reason for coming to the area was a family reunion. We added a day to our booking to celebrate the 60th birthday of the youngest sister on the 4th of July! The weather cooperated so we could relax on the porch swing, hike the trails, and have a couple campfires. We embraced the tranquility of the property and also ventured out to a couple local breweries. The house itself is beautifully decorated with a very welcoming open concept encouraging togetherness yet there’s plenty of space for solitude inside and outside.we are definitely planning a return visit!

Just perfect

This was a cozy, elegant, beautifully decorated place. It had everything you can think of, full kitchen wear and even condiments. There were candles everywhere which we appreciated. The hammock was definitely the highlight of the stay, we laid there for hours and forgot about the world. The fire place (gas) was very nice. We were able to log in to our Amazon / netflix etc accounts and watched a movie while it was storming outside, we could not use the fire pit because of the weather. The place itself is a gem. We will certainly be back.

Wonderful house

The property was exactly what we needed for a quiet, weekend getaway. Lots of outdoor activities nearby including great hiking spots. Home away from home!

A perfect rental for a mini-break to celebrate Thanksgiving and our twins turning 21. Loved the very clean and roomy house, spaces for all, well equipped kitchen to cook our meal and enjoyed walking around the trails on property. Wineries, Flight 93 Memorial and Falling Water all nearby too. Highly recommend!

Sweet Water Serenity

We loved our stay at Sweet Water! The cleanliness, available amenities, and fall decorations made it so comfortable. Jill is beyond an amazing host, and made everything so easy for our entire booking/stay, even bringing a crockpot to us! The house is very spacious, and we enjoyed family meals at the long table in the dining room. The trails cut into the property allow you to really take in the serenity of area, and the view from the top of the field is just heaven! Thank you Jill for everything, we can not wait to return!

Great experience!

Sweetwater Farm was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house was exceptionally clean and exactly as described. We enjoyed the fire pit and one evening and played cards in the kitchen the other. We spent Saturday at Fallingwater, the Flight 93 Memorial and exploring several local breweries and restaurants.

My kids and I simply loved sweetwater farm! The house is so pretty and spacious. We had everything we needed. We especially loved sitting on the front porch in the early morning and sitting by the fire pit in the evening. It was in the middle of all the places we visited. Great location and so peaceful. We also loved the bedrooms and the cozy living room where we played games that were at the property and watched movies. I would highly recommend sweetwater farm!

Quick getaway

Came to Somerset to visit Flight 93 memorial and Fallingwater. This home is conveniently located to these and other attractions. House was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend this property. Nice size for a family or group but also suitable for couples.

Cosy Somerset County Farmhouse Retreat

I loved the location of the farmhouse. We spent the week biking, hiking, visiting Fallingwater and the Flight 93 National Park and locating covered bridges. If you want to get away and relax and enjoy beauty, rural Somerset County, this is the place to stay. The farmhouse is in a quiet back road and has been renovated and remodeled and has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. Relaxing moments were spent on the wraparound porch and by the fire pit.
