The traditional stone-built property features beautiful wood-beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls. Arranged over two floors, this stylishly furnished escape enjoys a gorgeous open-plan living space with a pretty balcony and two large skylights that flood the room with natural light. This expansive space incorporates a modern kitchen and is furnished with a comfortable sofa, an armchair, a dining table and a flatscreen digital TV. The kitchen is fitted with: a ‘drip’ coffee machine, a cooker hob, an oven, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer

The spacious balcony is furnished with a table, chairs and armchairs, providing a pleasant alfresco extension for dining or enjoying an aperitif in the open air.

Location

The property is perched above the Lago di Vogorno reservoir in the picturesque village of Vogorno in the Verzasca Valley in Ticino, Switzerland.

The village is surrounded by incredible alpine landscapes, and there are various hiking opportunities and mountain bike trails in the valley. The Verzasca River is also nearby and, together with the lake, provides opportunities for swimming and kayaking. The closest restaurants are within a 3-minute drive from the property, and the closest supermarket is a 15-minute drive away.

Lake Maggiore and the city of Locarno are a 20-minute drive away. Here, visitors can explore the local beaches and on Thursdays, a market in Piazza Grande, which combines a farmers\' market with stalls selling regional crafts and second-hand clothes and books, etc.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bellinzona, famous for its 3 medieval castles, is a 30-minute drive away and makes a great day trip. Here, guests can enjoy a weekly market (Saturday morning), which is one of the best in the region.

The closest airport is in Lugano, approximately a 45-minute drive away, whilst the closest international airports are in Italy. Milan Malpensa (MXP) is a 1-hour and 35-minute drive away, and Linate Airport (LIN) is a 1-hour and 50-minute drive.
