The best part is that it is at the end of the hotels so there is some open beach and space. Other than that it did not seem family oriented, the pool was green and our checkin was 2 hours late. Beach was clean, food at the little restaurant was good enough and cheap. Overall would not return

We spent 2 days here. The staff were really nice. It was a quick walk to the beach. Food was good (I had shrimp scampi pizza),they had a restaurant plus there were adjoining restaurants and bars. The second night, my daughter woke up at 4am and went to the bathroom and found little bugs all over. She took pix and had a bug app and that said they were German Cockroaches. So although I'd like to go back, I still have my suitcases in the car, not sure what to do in case they got in there

STAY HERE! Don’t listen to the negative reviews!

Everything was wonderful! It was clean, the balcony was nice, and everyone was so friendly & exceptional! I would recommend all of our family and friends to stay here when visiting South Padre Island!

Booked room with ocean view and was given a room with partial to no ocean view, when I called front desk and told them my situation they said they would be charging me a fee to be relocated, I explained to them it would not make sense for me to pay a fee to be relocated if I did not get the room I booked to begin with. Person I spoke to was extremely rude and basically told me I got what I got and ocean view rooms where no longer available, I booked my room with a week in advance, I payed extra for a room with ocean view and they did not seem to care.

Everything was wonderful. However, I was surprised by the lack of security. There weren’t any keypads or bracelets issued. Anyone could enter the hotel from the beach area.

The folks who work at the Sand Rose are the most friendly and helpful people that one could hope to meet during a vacation. The beach access is literally outside the back entrance to the hotel. And the complimentary breakfast is outstanding. The adjacent bars, which provide food, are equally amazing. Topnotch experience.

It was a great experience,the beach, Clayton’s,just a short walk away. The fridge was cold,the table with wheels if you need to move it ,ac was perfect, I stayed in other hotels this is not so,sometimes the fridge is not even cold, We stayed in room overlooking the beach nice!
