Yes room were spotless and good friendly staff workers , We booked disabled room and wife use scooter, but couldn't get scooter into rooms got steps , had try keep it somewhere out of rain. Bathroom were nice but thought were shower walk in type as bath no mat in bit slippery not safe couldn't take a shower in bath . Akso told car park were £7 per night, i been charged £79 which is quite too expensive Anyway it a nice hotel but quite old fashioned inside .

We did not have breakfast. The accommodation is old but it was comfortable. We just needed a place to stay to get on the Queen Mary II, so it was great for the one night.

This is a great old hotel. We love older establishments for their richness in history. We don’t prefer cookie cutter hotels as much, at all. This is a charming place to stay. The staff was great but, Ceesay and Nwamme were especially kind and helpful. They’re both certainly an asset to the hotel. D

Overall the room was in good condition, there is however a lack of good ventilation. Our window opened into a narrow passage between buildings with little air flow. The pillows were horrendous. It was like sleeping on a bag of foam balls.

We had a lovely warm welcome, what a beautiful historic building. We just loved the whole atmosphere of this hotel. It was centrally located as well, making it easy to see Southampton without a vehicle.
