The space

This particular old mansion, approximately 200 years old, belonged initially to the historical naval family LEONIDA, who had actively contributed to the national liberation struggle of 1821, to which he had been granted by the newly established Greek state as a reward for the services he had offered to revolutionary release from the othomans. From the Leonida family, this mansion was purchased by the grandmother of the current co-owners, around 1897, to become a permanent residence of the family - Greek Egyptians - who in 1897 decided to return for relocation to Greece, choosing the beautiful island of Spetses.
Over the years, this mansion has been rented by the family of owners for at least the last 80-90 years. In this specific old mansion, from time to time they have been inhabited - making their summer holidays - famous personalities such as Nobel Prize winner ODYSSEAS ELYTIS, the famous unique Greek actress MELINA MERKOURI, as well as political and former prime minister of Greece GEORGIOS RALLIS.
