Lovely friendly hotel in wonderful location

We loved the Peristil which is a friendly, homely hotel where the owner and staff seem to know and like each other and do their best to ensure that guests are made welcome. Superb location near the main square of the palace. Our room had a wonderful view of the cathedral tower. We had good breakfasts and enjoyed evening meals there far more than in some of the highly rated restaurants in the area. Like many historic hotels, there is no lift but staff insisted on carrying our cases up to our room.

Beautiful hotel inside the Old Town walls. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Room was quirky with little natural light due to proximity to outer wall snd restoration. Bed was comfortable. Great location. You will need to get your luggage up a road and up and down many stairs.

The property is very well located just inside the Palace. Parking was available a bit of a walk. The staff were a little grumpy and the room was a little tired. It was convenient for touring the sites, restaurants, ferries in Split

Quaint and couldn't be closer to the major sites in Split. Powerwashing of the Roman facades started at 6am though right outside the window.

Great location inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace. Handy, 100m to closest cab drop and 400m to ferry, port. Nice (old) hotel with terrific staff and perfect breakfast.

Parking in Split is annoying , but you cannot beat the location , pack lighter as there is not an elevator

There is no way to get to the front of the hotel by car. After dropping you off with all the baggage, the taxi leaves, and you have to walk uphill drugging your suitcases for about 300 yards. The hotel is literally inside the Roman ruins, so the room we received was on the 4th floor and they have no elevator, so we had to drug our suitcases upstairs by ourselves. There was no one to help. Hotel is very old and smells musky. However, the reception lady was nice and they try to keep it clean. The room had a nice modern bathroom.
