This hotel is beautiful! It was nice, clean, and quiet. Staff is very friendly and their service is great. Beds are comfy but out room was warm even though we had it at the coldest setting :( but overall it was a great experience! The area around the hotel is clean and there is a good amount of restaurants that are walking distance.

Beautiful property centrally located

This is a very beautiful hotel with an amazing lobby. The history and decor made it a fun place to hang out . The beds were not our favorites as far as comfort but they worked just fine. We had to ask for more pillows because they were not as fluffy as we would like but the service was very good and they provided us with a different type of pillow. When we asked. Valet service was also very friendly and quick. The peacock lounge bar was open and had very tasty drink options but we never managed to catch the main lobby bar when it was open unfortunately because it's a beautiful area. The cafe was a good option for a quick breakfast if you didn't have many allergen concerns. Definitely a good alternative to Starbucks.

Fancy vintage hotel. Everything looked really nice, and all interactions with staff were very friendly and professional. My only issue was noise. I was on the 7th floor, and it seemed like every 10-15 minutes I would be woken up by a train passing by, a siren, someone shouting on the street, or the hvac (which was only 1 story below my 7th floor window) kicking on. They really need to add some sound proofing to these rooms. At one point in the afternoon you could even hear the wind whistling against the windows so loud you had to turn the tv volume up a couple notches above where it was in order to hear it over the wind noise.

Everything was great about our stay. The only disappointment I had was I booked our room to have two doubles and when we checked in were told we had to get upgraded to a king room. My husband is 6'4" and my son is also tall, a king bed doesn't work for 3 of us so this was unfortunate.

The rooms were not clean. The toilet had dried urine, think was a bit moldy, and there were crumbs under the glass on the bedside table. For the price I would have anticipated it was much cleaner.

The Davenport is a beautiful historic building. It is clean but looks rough around the edges (worn furniture). The hotel's breakfast room was a real disappointment. The food was premade and of poor quality. I would have done better going to Starbucks. What disappointed me most, and the reason I probably won't go back, are the additional fees. My $300 per night room was closer to $340. I don't like surprises, especially on vacation.
