Transport & internet was excellent Bed was comfortable Food options was good Service at hunter's restaurant was terrible ,as our reservation was at 8 pm ...we got our dinner at 10:30 , and we couldn't get what we wanted on the menu...we didnt go to our reservation at Gratzie because of the cats ...the cats ruined our dinner in the cari bean restaurant ,as a couple of us hv allergies (cats hair). Never expected to see cats in restaurants...we had an excellent time at royalton cancun that's the reason we chose royalton Antigua expecting the same experience .

Reservations for dining were a hassle, but once at the great restaurants the food was really good. The service was lacking. The property was one of the most beautiful places with a prime beach location.

The front desk staff is not welcoming at all. They are the first people you encounter, and unfortunately, their attitudes are not friendly. The bartenders J’AQuan & Akeem turned the trip around for us a little, they were amazing. Rooms need remodeling, the ceiling is falling apart causing my room to encounter leaking from upstairs.

Let me start by saying that if you are looking for friendly, bubbly, or welcoming staff, this is not the place for you. This was the main reason for my low rating. Most staff members were hesitant to engage in conversation, and I often noticed eye-rolling when questions were asked. When I requested distilled water at the front desk, I was told to go to a local market if I needed it. Later, a waiter mentioned that they do serve distilled water at the restaurant, so I asked to speak with guest relations. I explained that I needed to order a bottle of distilled water for medical equipment and offered to pay for it if that was an issue. He took my room number and assured me it would be delivered to my room. However, seven days later, I never received it. The service here is, without a doubt, the worst I have experienced in the Caribbean—except for Daylah at the Gourmet Marche, who was the friendliest person we encountered. I recommend getting to the buffet early, as there is no urgency in replenishing food once it runs out. During our visit, the buffet ran out of apple juice for the kids and straws, or at least that’s what we were told when we asked. Once Scoops Gelato shop runs out of ice cream, they inform you to come back tomorrow for more. The quality of the food is typical of all-inclusive resorts, so you can find something enjoyable to eat. The staff at the kids' club were exceptional; they seemed to be the only employees who enjoyed working at the resort.

This Hotel could have easily gotten a 5 star, but due to a couple issues, was a little disappointed, but staff like Richard the entertainer and the lady at the desk in our building 10/11 lobby who corrected most of our issues made it worthwhile, a lot of flies in the indoor dining area, but the beach where this hotel is located is 5 out of 5, Prestine, no sargassums, calm waters, also management needs to monitor the guys who run the beach equipment's, sail boat and pedal boat, most times they saying it's not working, people have to go to the private sail boat and pay if they want to go sailing, but overall a good all-inclusive hotel.

There is no welcome upon arriving to the lobby. Once you get checking in, you have to go back outside to tell them your room number, so they can drive to your building. When we arrived at the room it smelled like mold, they said they were goi g to move us the next day, did not happen don’t did they offer anything. Staff was not welcoming, when checking in they say you have a credit of $300, but they break down how to spend the money. Several restaurants you have to make reservations, however when you make reservations we have to wait for 3 plus hours. If you want to eat by the pool don’t open think about eating only Diamond Club member. Tried asking for additional face clothes/ towels, never got them, in have to keep asking for them and it finally was brought. Long story short, I do NOT recommend this run down hotel.

My room had weird wet aroma and I later experienced a water leak of some sort. I woke up in the morning and nearly fell due to the puddle of water around my bed. While the situation was later remedied I was, there was no communication as to what was the issue and no one seemed to be able to provide a response.

Some Staff were abrupt to the point of rude. There was no alcohol option for room service delivery , at these prices I can’t understand that. The buffet did not have as much options as I would have liked. The reservation for specialty restaurants were a scam , opens at 10am, fully booked by 10:30. Larger groups not accommodated easily. Do better! Cause we paid an exorbitant amount to stay at this resort!!!
