My 5 day stay in STL

This was my first time in STL. I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean. The service was nice. I really enjoyed the hotel amenities such as the pool and gym. I went to the gym almost every day. I also like the location because it was walking distance to the arch and other downtown attractions.

The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. The room was clean, the valet was super convenient, and the food was delightful. We loved the pool and the art museum. The only complaint was our shower door wouldn't fully close. It was a minor inconvenience that did not greatly impact our stay.

Saddened by how bad this hotel has become! Stayed here a year ago and was great. Bathroom was filthy dirty, when floor was wiped with a towel it was black, and orange mold growing in the shower corners. Bed sheet had dried blood on it. I spoke and showed pictures to two managers who feigned interest but did absolutely nothing about it. Shame, most of the staff was fanatic and such a cool building.

Love 21C Hotels, but the maintenance of this one needs attention. Room was not as clean as it should be. Traces of previous guests were quite apparent. Black bathroom tiles have been worn down to show white marks in many places. This was our second visit in a year, and carpet at from entrance and steps needed vacuuming, just as it had before, which we had pointed out at our first visit.

We loved the art gallery, pool facilities and penguins. Our only complaint was our room was a little smaller than expected and our room door did not function properly. It was difficult to open and close. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.
