Bungalow Historic Tower Grove

Great place to stay in St Louis

Accurate pictures just as you see online. Everything was cleaned, beds were super comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in St. Louis.

Overall a nice stay

Location is close to all the attractions. Neighborhood is safe enough that you feel comfortable during your stay. And not worried about your safety. A few blocks down the road is not as safe. Kitchen is nice and well stocked. Really nice for cooking food. Loved the kitchen! Lots of natural light in the home. Beds comfortable. Bathroom is nice but narrow or small. 3 people are comfortable in this house. I think more people would be crowded. Front yard is neat. Weeds need to be cut in back yard. Back yard patio furniture is dirty. There is a nice fence around the back yard. We had plenty to do in St. Louis, so we didn't use the back yard. The front door keypad is really nice for getting in and out. Wood floors are creaky. Owners need to spray for spiders. We saw 2 spiders in our 4 night stay. TV had a nice selection of channels. There was always a parking space open on the street in front of the house. So we could go back and forth to our car very easily. No road noise from the street. It was quiet at the house. Definitely not a neighborhood for music and partying. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Wonderful place to stay!

Me & my family stayed a weekend here for a trip to the zoo, & it was everything it was made out to be! Very clean & super nice on the inside. We did have to park on the crowded street because the parking area is behind the house & you cannot see your vehicle from the house.. But overall it was wonderful!

DISAPPOINTING!

My family and I stayed at the property during a long weekend trip. The house was dirty and, while centrally located, the neighborhood did not seem safe. We’ve been to St. Louis MANY times, as I grew up in the area, and this property and its manager did not meet the mark! We accidentally left behind my daughter’s favorite stuffed animal, and immediately contacted the host to let her know. She did not respond via direct message on the VRBO platform, but finally responded via text message at the phone number provided with check-in instructions. She found the item a few days after we checked out and volunteered to mail it to us within the week. I followed up multiple times over the next 3 weeks, receiving multiple promises that she’d be sending the item right away. She gave me the run around before ultimately ceasing to respond. It has made for a very unpleasant experience!

Loved it!

The property manager was very informative. We didn’t have to contact them other because they supplied us with everything we’d need to know, although they did encourage contact if needed and assured they’d help. Property was clean and very nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. My son loved the treat of a tv in the rooms since he doesn’t usually have one.

Home Away from Home

What a lovely home! Warm, inviting, comfortable. LoriAnn's attention to detail is top-notch - her communication was exemplary, all necessities were provided, and the extra touches at every turn were so appreciated. In addition to examples other reviewers have noted (snacks, beverages, stocked kitchen) the towels were plush, the bedding was soft, and there were even a couple different types of pillows to fit peoples' preferences. The area was quiet and safe and there were many fun places to visit close by. Don't forget to pick up some Dad's Cookies for the ride home! We will look forward to another stay when we next visit our St. Louis friend. Thank you again, LoriAnn!

Quick spring break in St Louis

Our experience was great, this property was a terrific set-up for us over our stay in St Louis. Two bedrooms so kids could rest between activities. Property was very clean and had everything we needed, and Lori checked in right away to make sure. She even offered to set up a pack n play (we didn’t need, but this was a very nice gesture). My husband loved the espresso very much as well! Very cute little bungalow within short drive to all the sites we were looking to see — science center, zoo / forest park, arch, and more!

It's great for a family of 4

It was very well decorated and I had everything I needed for a spring break trip with kids, age 5, 7 and 11. The host checked in with me to be sure everything was as expected and to see if we were missing anything we needed. The neighborhood felt safe, had on street parking directly in front of the house every time we arrived back, and was convenient to all of the attractions we wanted to go see. I highly recommend!

Cute Little Property

Property is in a safe area from what we could tell. No issues whatsoever. Other than the bathroom being a little tight, the property is perfect. Also, watch your step going from backyard to the front door via the alley way. There is a single step right after the gate. I would most definitely rent this property again if we visit the area.

Wonderful Stay and Host

We had a wonderful time staying here over our 4 days in the city! Very clean, with a wonderful back yard (firepit and grill), and open layout floor. The kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked (with cooking needs and bathroom supplies). The host also had complimentary snacks, wine, and coffee pods. 10/10 would stay again!

great property great location hosts need to update house rules

the property and location was great the only issue we had was the hosts monitoring our visitors and threatening to kick us out due to family and friends coming to visit us, we would only have one visitor at a time due to the no party or events rule for this property, but the 1st night i had 2 cousins come at separate times and the owner contacted me tellin me she would prefer if we dont have ANY visitors at the house, which was not on the rules and policies, then admitted that she was watching my coming and goings on her front and back ring camera, and had her neighbors watchin us, which felt like a violation of our personal privacy. the house was beautiful and clean but DONT book if u plan on having any family or friends visit u or if u care about the host not secretly spying on you
