This beautifully updated, bright and spacious 3 bedroom beach front condo is located at Sandcastle I, one of the three most popular beach front vacation buildings in Indian Shores. The amenities at this well maintained property are endless! The community features a beautiful large pool deck with loungers, direct waterfront heated pool and a hot tub. A nice BBQ area beach side with two Gas grills and a charcoal grill with tables are available for our tenants’ use.

The large living/dining area is newly furnished and features a large 55” Smart TV, with over 70 Cable Channels in addition to Internet Radio, YouTube, a Blue-Ray DVD player and speakers. Large sliding doors open up to the beach front balcony, perfect to enjoy our breathtaking Florida West Coast sunsets. The dining area comfortably seats 6 with a large table. The fully equipped open kitchen comes with gorgeous granite counter tops, wooden cabinets and state-of-the-art appliances to prepare delicious meals for the family. The main bedroom features a comfortable king size bed and sliders that open up to the beach front balcony as well. The 2nd bedroom features 2 queen size beds, the 3rd bedroom has 1 queen size beds. All bedrooms have good size flat screen TVs. One of the updated bathrooms has a tub/shower combo, the other one comes with a walk in shower.

If you venture out, you will find John’s Pass Village just a few miles to the South which is filled with shopping, water activities and entertainment for all. For a thrilling experience visit Busch Gardens in Tampa, approximately an hour drive away, or hit the Disney parks and all the other Orlando attractions in just 2 hours. Great place for family vacation

We have been using this property for several years in a row now. Great place for large families with kids. Quiet and safe location with a good-size outdoor pool and an ocean view.

Highly recommend this condo. Only knock I would give it is the water pressure isn’t that great in the showers in both bathrooms. Overall great stay!

Wonderful Experience

What a great experience, we all really enjoyed our vacation. The property had everything we needed, beach chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella and even a cooler. Would definitely recommend this unit to anyone!!!

Great vacation in a great location

The rental process was very smooth. Condo was clean and ready for us. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen stocked well. 3rd bedroom was very small with no closet but it worked.

Wonderful

3 couples stayed for a week. The small bedroom is very small. No closet, just enough room to get in and out of bed. The condo was clean and as expected. Everyone we encountered were friendly. A lot of rentals in this building I think. Perfect for a beach vacation.

Fall break

Nice to have a condo on an upper floor, right on the beach, with heated pool and hot tub. Indian Shores has everything we needed. The condo was pretty sparsely equipped in terms of amenities, but everything worked and it was clean when we showed up. Guest shower is pretty antiquated. We had a wonderful time in Indian Shores.

804 sand castle

Nice stay. plenty of beech chairs however many were not in the best shape. we did find 2 to use. 2 nice umbrellas. lots of kids toys. floats, surf boards, and a couple of coolers. Clean. adequate kitchen utensils. no spices (salt/pepper etc). Everything you really need.

Great location - needs updates

Overall great location! Unit definitely needs some updating and a good deep clean. Overall decent stay. No cutting board, sponges, cleaning supplies or Tupperware so BYO! Vacuum cleaner and broom need replacing. Bring your own TP and paper towels if you don’t like single ply. Issues were resolved with a phone call.

Great condo, crowded, noisy complex

The condo has a wonderful view of the ocean, and great amenities like a pool and spa. Very well equipped unit, excellent beach toys, nice kitchen. Beds were very comfortable, unit has everything you need! Our only issue was the complex itself. It was very crowded with lots of kids and tons of noise, often till 11PM at night (or later). People in the pool, in the halls, in the common areas being loud (and lots of them). If you have a lot of kids, this place is probably perfect, if you're looking for peace and quite, look elsewhere!

Good enough

As one of my daughters said, it wasn't bad enough to ruin our trip. But there was a 5-item list of things we found that needed fixing, including broken shower door and chair; both were potentially dangerous. We first reported the chair on Monday. There was more correspondence during the week but no maintenance. That said, it was generally clean, the price was right, and, the location was great I happened to have a multi tool and made the shower door usable, barely, so, overall it was OK.

Being on the beach was perfect but when we arrived the blinds on the sliding glass door to the balcony were broken and wouldn’t even open. One of the beds was so sunken in just from looking at it & laying on it was even worse & wasn’t even able to be slept in. Thankfully we were able to use another but had we needed that bed someone back would have been miserable sleeping. The fan in that room also didn’t work. The master tub/sink was not draining properly. The toilet paper holder was falling off of the wall in both bathrooms. The towel rack was also falling off. A lot of cosmetic things needed fixed in my opinion & would be easy to do to make a better impression and experience. We were not in there much because we are such beach people but there were a lot of things that should be fixed considering the amount of money you pay. However we absolutely loved the balcony, all of the beach chairs toys ect that were available for us to use. & we loved that the fridge had an ice/water dispenser. Washer and dryer was also a huge perk!

A few bumps in the road

The condo location was beautiful. The condo itself could have used a few personal beach touches. Our check in email gave us erroneous information. The parking space is NOT under the building and is not marked 1804 it is simply 804. We were given codes to enter the pool and beach yet no codes were needed anywhere on the property. Our kitchen sink completely stopped working as well as the dishwasher. Service was extremely delayed in getting us running water and was never completely fixed. We had to place a bag over the sprayer so we would not accidentally use it. The lighting in the dining was so harsh that we changed lightbulbs from lamps in other rooms. The remote controls to the tvs need new batteries. We had to juggle batteries to use them.

Nice Condo/Minor Issues

We enjoyed our stay here for the week. Didn’t have any issues. The property looks very maintained in pictures but they are kind of misleading. Condo could use a deep clean. If you need to wash clothes don’t plan on drying them. Dryer took at least 2 hours to dry a load of clothes with maybe 7-8 items. We had 7 people with 9 towels/washcloths, so we were constantly washing rags and reusing towels since the dryer took forever and then when the clothes came out they would stink from being in the dryer so long. There are no rugs in condo, so unless you are sweeping behind where you walk, you are constantly stepping in sand/dirt with nothing to catch it and the sand is sticking to your feet until it’s washed. The condo is nice don’t get me wrong, it just needs a good, DEEP clean. There were no potholders to use while cooking. However, the view of the beach from the condo was great. The pool area is nice and clean. The area it is in is very good and clean as well. I felt very safe and comfortable here. Lots of stuff around to do and lots of great restaurants :))

Outstanding location. Condo needs some TLC

First impression of the condo was not great. Walked into a musty smelling condo that did not give us a welcome feeling. We were the most disappointed in the master bed. The bed was a regular mattress that rested directly on slats. There was no box spring or bunky board. The top of the mattress was literally just 2 feet off the ground. It was below my knees. The comforter and decorative pillows were stained and did not appear as if they had been washed in some time. Went into the guest bedroom and 2 of the 4 lightbulbs in the ceiling an were out. The balcony was filthy. None of us would even consider going onto that balcony with bare feet. It need a thorough scrubbing. One of the elevators was out for the entire week and 1 elevator for 80 units just doesn't cut it. The positives are the location, the views, and the outstanding beach. The beach was soft and the water was clear (except for a couple days of red tide). The views are outstanding from both the deck facing the ocean and the windows in the guest rooms facing the intracoastal. The location is awesome. Plenty of restaurants close by. Not crowded and plenty of things to do. Overall, there are plenty of choices in Sandcastle I, Sandcastle II, and Sandcastle III that would have to be better choices than what we experienced.

Would have given 5 stars

But the room was not cleaned well when we arrived, clearly they don't verify that beds haven't been slept in since we found gummy bears on the one bed under the sheets. The floors were filthy, clearly a mop was not used prior to us getting there as our feet were black from walking around the unit. The air conditioner went out and I called and they told me to open the patio door to the ac unit and that would fix it. I told them we had been dealing with it since we checked in on Saturday and it was now Monday afternoon, but they still wanted to me to open the door. I gave it a couple of hours and it was even hotter in the condo. I called back and they had the nerve to tell me I needed to meet the guy who was coming to fix it. I'm on vacation and this isn't my house. The owners pay a management company for this reason. I told them I was out to dinner and not going to spoil my plans to meet someone. They finally worked it out and met the guy at the unit while we were out and it couldn't be fixed that night. They offered us to stay at another unit for the night which wasn't on the beach and was more of a hassle to pack up everyone for the night but the gesture was nice. They told us it would be fixed first thing in the morning and it was by noon. Just not an all around relaxing beach vacation as I had hoped since I ended up cleaning when we go there and then dealing with the management company for two days trying to get air conditioning.
