Sapphire Beach is one of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches in the Caribbean. From the condo, you have a breathtaking view of the waters and the beach. Inside, you have all the comforts of a one bedroom apartment. The sleeping area can be enclosed by wooden partitions, leading into a comfortable living area with a full sized kitchen.

The resort houses two bars and two restaurants for your convenience. A quick drive to nearby Red Hook links you to ferries to the British Virgin Islands and St. John.

The view is Spectacular!! Seasonal Sargassum was there a bit smelly outside. But the main Sapphire beach swimming area was clean. No Sargassum. The Sea salt restaurant on the resort is fantastic!!

Now what we expected

The view was amazing! And the beach bar and restaurant and coffee shop on the premises were delightful. The unit itself works well for 2 adults, but is in need of updating. The shower floods the bathroom floor. The unit was not equipped with the items indicated on the listing, and messages to both the host and his assistant did not receive timely responses (3 hours in one case). One key item we needed that was listed as being in the unit was never delivered for us to use.

The unit is well-appointed. Perfect size, with a king size bed, for a couple, with two TVs. It is on the second floor, which really is just a half level up from where you would bring your luggage in. Shower is very nice. Communication with Michael was great, he had a lot of good advice. Sapphire Beach has been around awhile, but it is holding age well. It's a condo development with an associated beach club/restaurant area. The beach is really nice with great views of other islands including Saint John. There is a dedicated taxi stand and nearby Red Hook has restaurants and other stuff you need, including ferry to Saint John and BVI. Very good for either a nestled-in stay or base for exploring.

Beautiful location. But the unit was less than stellar. The room was dated and not clean. There was dirt and bugs in the kitchen cabinets. The ac unit leaked all over the floor as soon as you come in the unit. There was duck tape around the window in the shower. The cleaning lady was opening our door at 1030 am when check out was 11.

My mom and I were here for one night and it was a nice stay. Communication and check in were easy, location is great. Short walk to the beach and plenty of food and drinks on the property if you don’t feel like venturing out.

We’ve been here before but I must say this place was a 6 outta 5 stars stay. Wonderful and clean condo with a Fantastic Host Michael who helped out with any questions we had. Location is perfect and definitely will be coming back to this same condo. A must stay if you are going to Sapphire Beach!

We had a short 5 day stay at the condo. It was as expected according to listing. We only ventured off the property on our arrival to get groceries. Enjoyed the beautiful beach everyday with the bonus of mangrove trees lining the beach for shade. We enjoyed fantastic pizza at the beach bar and a more upscale dinner at Sea Salt both of which are conveniently on the property. We will definitely be repeat customers

Despite arriving at the tail end of a tropical storm we were well taken care of by the owner of the property who was helpful and available. The unit was very nice with great A/C and a wonderful view. Easy walking to the beach and the local restaurants. There is also a pool which gives another option which was pretty great.

The property was really nice. We had a good time and the property was well equipped. Michael was a great communicator. The only thing that was wrong was out of the properties control. Virgin Islands deal with many power outages and that affects everyone. Be aware of power outages and check WAPA if having an electricity all the time is one of your main concerns. Again this was a Virgin Island issue, not a resort issue. Look for Jeff I to be your driver. Very nice guy. Also, look for groceries and food to be very expensive. My wife and I took an extra $2000, and that was sufficient.

Amazing Stay In Paradise

Place was amazing. The location was perfect with an amazing sunrise everyday from your patio. Right on the beach... steps away from amazing snorkeling... I mean.. turtles, stingray, amazing fish and even octopus are just 50 yards off the beach. Amenities were wonderful and comfortable. Michael's communication with us was very responsive. He is a great host. The taxi services to and from Sapphire Beach Club are very good and I would not rent a car knowing what I know when I come back. Bars and restaurants on site were great and prices were not bad at all for island living.

We stayed at Sapphire Beach 30 years ago (not the same unit) and were happy to see that the property has been kept up. This unit is great. Everything you could need, nicely and simply decorated. Incredible view to enjoy your coffee or happy hour right on the deck practically in the water! The beach at sapphire has some decent snorkeling and there are a variety of dining options from casual to fancy. The market in Red Hook is also great to stock up on what you need for condo. One warning: your map app will tell you Red Hook is a 15 minute walk, but it is not a walk you want to make, no sidewalk or shoulder on the road. Just take a taxi, which there are plenty at the taxi stand. Sapphire Beach is truly a 5 minute ride from the Red Hook Ferry if you are planning any boat trips or ferry rides to St. John. Communication with host was great and I would definitely recommend this to any friends and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Great Stay!

This was our second time staying on the property and it was once again, wonderful! We regretted when we ventured off the island for sight seeing to "Water Island"....do not go unless you want to waste a ton of money! No need to leave Sapphire Beach except to go to the grocery store or dinner in Red Hook. It really is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation!
