Step into Doverow Cottage, a charming 19th-century, two-bedroom cottage in Stonehouse near Stroud, Gloucestershire. Sleeping up to four guests, it’s a cosy and well-connected base just minutes from the M5, ideal for exploring Stroud, Gloucester and the Cotswolds, and equally suited to short breaks or longer stays.

Please note that the staircase is very steep, so we wouldn`t recommend this property for guests with mobility issues — we`d kindly ask you to consider this before booking to avoid any difficulties on arrival. The house comfortably fits 4 guests (ideal for a couple with two children or two couples); we wouldn`t recommend booking for larger groups, as the space is best suited to four.

- Free street parking directly outside the property (please fold in wing-mirrors to help avoid vehicle damage)

Important note on access within the home
- As typical of historic cottages, the stairs are steep. Handrails are provided, and guests should take extra care.

The cottage sits in the quiet town of Stonehouse near Stroud, offering countryside charm with easy access to local conveniences. You can walk to local pubs, shops and cafés, and the Stroudwater canal is close by for peaceful strolls. For wider exploring, you’re well placed for the historic cities of Gloucester, Bath and Cheltenham, and for visiting picturesque Cotswold villages including Bourton-on-the-Water and Cirencester. Local farm shops and the scenic Cotswold hills are also nearby, making this an excellent base for mixing town life with outdoor time.


Getting around
- Around 5 minutes to the M5 (junctions 12 and 13) for straightforward regional travel
- Stonehouse train station: around a 3-minute drive or a 20-minute walk, with direct links to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and London
- EV charging: available at the nearby Texaco garage and Costa Coffee Business Park

• Puppies under 12 months are not permitted, as they may cause damage due to teething and lack of house training. Fully house‑trained dogs that do not chew are welcome, but any damage caused by pets will be chargeable.

Extra Charges
- Pet fee: £25 per pet (maximum 2 pets)
- Optional hot tub add-on: A Lazy Spa hot tub can be added for £250 per stay, purchased after booking is confirmed. 48 hours’ notice is required, and it will be filled with fresh water for your arrival.


Booking Policy
- Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file.
- If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled.
- Early payment is allowed; card fees up to 3 percent are non-refundable if cancelled.
- Please refer to your booking site for cancellation and payment policies.
- Upsells such as early check‑in, late check‑out, and add‑on packages are available to enhance your stay. Please note that all upsells are non‑refundable once booked.

Cancellation Policy
- Full refund if cancelled 30 or more days before arrival.
- Fifty percent refund if cancelled fourteen to thirty days before arrival.
- No refund if cancelled within fourteen days of arrival.
