IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT TURKEY RUN (ON-PROPERTY CREEK)
Although water in Turkey Run sources from upstream natural springs, during dry periods, the creek may have limited flow.
-- In 2023, a short drought caused low flow for about 2 weeks in late July;
-- In 2024, drought conditions led to a dry creek bed for roughly 6 weeks (August to early September);
-- In 2025, higher-than-average rainfall and storm-driven widening of the creek have improved flow conditions. Only brief periods of low or dry flow are expected this season, if any;
-- Accessing the creek is at your own risk. Other guests have loved it as an amenity for pets and kids, but it not typically large or deep enough for fishing.
