New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

There are few things better than waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the tide each day, so bring the whole family along and make your way to Heaven's Outpost. The name fits the bill, as the two large decks boast stunning views and plenty of places to kick back with a cold drink in hand as the sun goes down. A newly installed pool promises hours of splashing and soaking under the sun. After full days on the warm sand, mere steps away, the well-equipped kitchen will be calling your name to whip up tasty meals for the whole gang.

Boasting a fun tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, powder blue cabinetry, and island seating, the group's chef will have no trouble preparing ingredients while still being able to reminisce with loved ones. When it is time to settle in for the night, two living rooms await, one on each floor, both offering a TV and a sectional to stream favorite movies and shows before hitting the hay! Not to mention, the free high-speed WiFi will allow guests to catch up on emails, attend Zoom calls, or surf the web for local attractions with ease!

THINGS TO KNOW:
The fireplace is only available for guests September through May.
Pool can be heated: $85/day fee. Call the office to add pool heat.
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Great smaller-sized beachfront home for a family or two. We loved the old-fashioned charm reminding us on Holden Beach from the 1960's and 1970's. The only two changes we recommend are buying cooking trays small enough to fit in the oven and maybe a new coffee maker. Otherwise, we would definitely book again.

Casual and comfortable

I enjoyed my 2 week stay to decompress. It's a good location and very quiet.I suggest that you add an electric tea. Kettle to the kitchen, that would being very helpful.

Weekend get away!

I had booked the house for a sisters weekend, but that didn’t work out. Instead my husband, son, daughter in law and myself decided to go. The size of the house for us was perfect. We really enjoyed the screened in back porch. We love our own private access to the beach. I loved reading the history about the house. We will definitely be back!

Charming cottage that offered all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the screened in back porch as well as the easy access to the beach. Being able to enjoy it all with our dog was an added bonus.

Great stay regardless of Hurricane Debby

Loved the screened in porch, and the dog enjoyed lounging in the porch area. Outdoor shower and sand rinse station on the walk way were used often and appreciated. Can’t anticipate hurricanes, but since we were at the beach we didn’t let Debby sour our vacation week and we were able to view the storm from the screened in porch - very impressive.

quick trip for my mom

this cottage was as advertised. nothing fancy. reminded me of may days as a kid staying in a cottage up north on lakes in the Adirondacks. great location. easy access to beach.

Going Old Style

Location, location, location!! Lovely ocean views from the large screen porch and large, newer deck. This is one of the original Holden Beach Cottages and the owners have kept it quaint. All the rooms are smaller and it still has the knotty pine paneling. Generous allotment of white towels for the one old-style bathroom. Good linens for the beds. You will not find better access to the beach and water.

Perfect beach getaway!

Left a similar review on Vacasa, but in short this is a perfect location for a beach vacation! The view from the screened in porch is amazing and you can spend your days on the porch watching the ocean and then go out to the water at your leisure. The home is also located very close to shops, fish markets, and the other things to see in Holden Beach. Definitely recommend this location for your next vacation!

Girls Time Out

This property was beautifully located overlooking Holden Beach. The kitchen was well equipped, the screened in porch was amazing, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The only thing that was missing from this beach house were beach chairs and beach towels. We loved our visit to HB!

The pictures in the listing are very accurate. Cute, quaint cottage with amazing beach access. We took our dogs in the off season and they absolutely loved it. Great location for visiting the beauty and pristine that Holden Beach offers.

Corky Cozy Cottage

This was a nice little getaway for our 10 yr anniversary. There was were a couple still dirty dishes but other than that. It was corky cozy homie feeling. And to listen and watch the waves while have coffee was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries…

Perfect Old School Beach Cottage

If your looking for 5 star fancy this is not for you. If you want 5 star original classic and cozy beach Cottage..... this is for you! Perfect Ocean front cottage with plenty of room! Kitchen has everything down to wine glasses and tea pitchers! Seriously it had it all. They even have laundry pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels /toilet paper and soap for your check in! That was a added bonus for sure Incase you forget it. The absolute only concern is the decking /walkway to the beach It is very old and very weathered as others have stated . It's Part of the classic old school beach property but it could use work for sure. We are booking for next year and plan to keep coming. Be sure to read history of the cottage on kitchen wall ! Lovely neighbor 2 doors down that lives there . She is always on the beach looking for goodies as she makes wreaths and stuff with them . What a lovely life !

Great location

This was a fun vacation for my husband, adult daughter, myself and our family pup Grace. The house is exactly as listed and we were very pleased with the accommodations. We were able to relax and slow down our pace for the week. The walk from the house to the beach was excellent and during the week of the 4th of July the beach was "busy" but not too busy to enjoy ourselves. Being from out of state, the restrictions on the beach were something we didn't know about until our 2nd day there. These restrictions are completely reasonable, but just know your furry family friend is restricted from the beach from 9am to 5pm. Also, everyone around us adhered to the noise restrictions and after 10pm it got nice and quiet. Such a great atmosphere! Upon check in we found the ice maker in the fridge was not working properly (it looked like a plastic bag got twisted up in it somehow?) and we called the rental agency and they were there in just a few hours to fix it. :-) We had to call again as the high winds of the week tore some screens loose and they were great to respond on those as well. The house was clean upon arrival. Be sure to check with the listing company as to what is available in the kitchen if you plan on cooking. They are really good if you call and ask ahead of time. I was able to bring a crock pot and a few other items to ensure lazy cooking for mom while we were playing on the beach. Washer/dryer worked great, loved the outdoor shower down below for sand removal. Our only "critical" review, the deck. The deck is older and there are screws sticking up everywhere. You can tell they have come in several times to tighten them down, but while we were there we got used to just wearing our sandals. Is this a big deal?, nope! The view is gorgeous, and sitting on the deck was amazing. Would we stay again, absolutely!

Comfy and warm

We really like the older beach cottages like this one. Heat worked great. So nice to be able to bring our dog. Very few people on the beach. It's a really clean, sandy beach.

Cozy and perfectly located

The cabin is not new but had everything we needed. The access to the beach and the porch were all we needed for a restful and splendid stay by the ocean.
