The hotel is clean, which is really lovely to see as it is very rare to have a clean hotel nowadays. The only downside was the air conditioning was not working as it was set to automatic mode where I couldn't control it. I had to wait a while to see if this could be fixed, but eventually I was moved to another room where it worked fine, so no issues. The only thing I would say is that it kept turning itself off every couple of hours so I had to keep getting up to turn it back on again. It would be much better if the air con is fully controllable in each room, especially for people like myself who suffer with asthma. However, the staff were really friendly and helped as much as possible.

A pleasant enough stay for the price paid, but for this to be a 4* hotel a lot needs doing. The rooms are run down in some areas (paint scuffed, dents in doors, minor interior damage) and no safe or fridge (which I feel should be compulsory for a 4* hotel) The room itself was spacious, large comfy bed and I had a good nights sleep. There was an ironing board and heated mirror in the bathroom. Shower was good, bathroom a little cramped though. Good paid parking at the back of the hotel. £6/night is a fair price.

Really nice hotel. But a bit of a pain to get to from the railway station with all the road and regeneration work going on. Why whoever is doing the work do not open the pavement area up at weekends is beyond me. No one working. But having to go out of the way to get to the hotel. But that’s not the hotel’s fault.

Good enough for what we needed.

The hotel was nice enough. Unfortunately the ice machine was broken but it is what it is. The booking came with free parking if you put your registration in at the reception, however the guy who checked us in was a bit weird saying it was £6 but he will waive the charge for us. We were on the 8th floor. I don't use lifts so I asked where the stairs were and he tried to tell me they didn't have any. Stairwell was nice until floor 5 where there was no carpet or wallpaper and the floor number was just spray painted on. Room was nice and clean. It was nice and quiet and you couldn't hear noise from other guests. Bed was comfortable enough and the air conditioning was very necessary. Had a nice little fridge in the room which was good. Overall I would give 4/5.
