We enjoyed a 2 night escape from the city and were delighted with this gracious, fascinating hotel. The history of the Hydro and the beautifully updated interiors were an unexpected bonus, also, the charming bar with spectacular views. The delicious breakfasts, again with stunning views left us disappointed we had other plans for dinner. The staff were all friendly and professional and our room was well furnished and immaculate. We look forward to another stay.

Special place to stay!

A treat to stay here, in the mountains. Wonderful welcome and service from the reception staff. The historic decor of the hotel makes it interesting to wander through. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the magic views from the windows.

The room for two people was inadequate. Elementary items - plug for washbasin, luggage storage, hanging space, hanging facilities, a coffee table were missing. Damage to the shower floor should have been repaired, a faulty bedside lamp must have been ignored by the housekeeping staff. The reception staff and hospitality staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The food in the Wintergarden restaurant and the Boilerhouse was excellent, and the staff very helpful with dietary issues.
