Palazzo Del Sale is a gem. Giovanni was so welcoming and friendly, as were his staff and dog Gigi. At check in we were treated to a cappuchino before Giovanni helped us with our bags up to our room. The location of the hotel is perfect for easy walking around beautiful Ortigia. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable and having the patio just outside our door an added bonus. I highly recommend the Palazzo Del Sale and look forward to visiting again.

Great place in a superb location . Giovanni is a fabulous host . Its a short walk and you are in the middle of the Ortigia and a similarly short walk have a swim from the swimming platform.

Beautiful Palace B+B in the heart of Ortigia.

The Palazzo was situated on a street corner in Ortigia near the waterfront and Fonte Aretusa. We pre-booked valet parking which was a “must” for the old city with a restricted traffic zone.. The room was gorgeous - spacious with a balcony and high ceilings. Breakfast was next door in the Bar Cuccumella. The wifi was good. There were several restaurants on our street and we ate locally. The food was delicious. It was a great stay. Giovanni the owner of the hotel and cafe was outstanding - hard working, kind, reliable and looked after us very well.

Nice but quirky

Nice place. Nice host. Stayed in the slightly quirky Grigio room. In the room you go up a set of stairs to get to the bathroom and then go up more steps to get to the shower stall. It felt challenging in the middle of the night in the dark to use the wc. And challenging after showering going down the stairs with wet feet. On the other hand, our other traveling family members had a perfectly fine room.

Siamo andati per recensioni così superlative ... è davvero un B&B molto normale con uno staff fantastico e molto vivace nel portare avanti la sua attività. Accesso difficile con il veicolo, non hanno parcheggio(siamo riusciti a parcheggiare lì fuori per fortuna) Colazione di qualità relativa ma corretta. Per quanto riguarda il bagno, con le scale all'esterno e all'interno, molto scomodo. Lampade da bagno realizzate con fili metallici che davano insicurezza. Hanno un cane che ti dà il benvenuto all'ingresso Cattivo rapporto qualità-prezzo.
