Tucked away within a period house at the heart of town, well-kept rooms are strong on traditional charm and character. If you like old buildings with culture and characters, this place is very special. The owners are friendly and nice. Very good location and a good place to stay. However, this place is not a modern hotel so do not expect everything new.

Stylish and unique, traditional in architecture, located in the heart of old town where you are within minutes walk to restaurants, night market, etc. The owner was very nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Lots of space to chill and relax. I highly recommend these accomodation. Note that this is a vintage building so the stairs treads leading up to the second and third floor rooms are steep and narrow. Also the bathrooms are a part of the bedroom, separated only by a curtain.

Old, but so good...........

We had a chance to talk to the owners, Tim and his wife and found out their thoughts towards their hotel. It is a real vintage building and Tim renovated reserving the original exteriors/interiors with good care. Tim explained it costs him a lot to maintain, but I admire his passion and feelings. I felt his love to reserve his hotel well. I felt like we were invited to Taiwan's old family house. Old, but good....... We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed every detail and antiques. Its location is convenient. Close to Tainan train station and famous tourist areas. I would stay there again next time.

The hotel is in a restored art deco townhouse which has been tastefully furnished with antiques. It's in a really good location with everything apart from Anping in walking distance. Bed was very comfy and the room was clean. The owner is friendly and knows loads about Tainan which was super fortunate for me. The bathroom situation is a little unusual but I understand why it's done that way, and as a solo traveler I wasn't bothered. Overall I'd stay again.

A very special experience

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Vintage. Owner Tim is super nice, but professional, and he's put together a fine establishment. We loved the decor, the room, the balcony, and the location. The vintage feeling was splendid.

Charm in the downtown core.

This little hotels full of charm, but it's not for everybody. We found the owner to be very helpful considerate. The location was excellent and we felt safe in the neighbourhood. Lots of things to do in the area. The hotel is in a heritage building...hence the charm...but some might not like having concrete floors or the toilet in the bedroom behind a curtain. We did't mind...we enjoyed the excellent shower and all the hot water. Thank you for two lovely days.

Authentic Vintage Home Stay

If you wish to experience an authentic vintage Taiwanese home with more than 80 years history, this is it. Right smack in the sightseeing districts and plenty of food options around, this is a good option if you have the time to try.

Nice small japanese-style hotel

Very warm welcome from the hotel owner, Tim, who was also very helpful for finding interesting sites in Tainan. The bed was very comfortable and our double room had a modern shower cabin, and all seemed to have been refurbished recently. Just the toilet "curtain" was a little bit hard to get used to. It is located not far away from Tainan main train station, but better take a taxi to get there. The Confucius temple and other sights are in walking distance, except Anping harbor. All together, a very nice stay!

方便乾淨又便宜

追求地理位置方便，乾淨又便宜的人，超級推薦這個很有味道的古蹟民宿 因為是古蹟所以沒有電梯，房間分別在二三樓這點要注意。但是民宿老闆非常親切主動幫忙搬行李超不好意思 另外要注意的是因為有很多老闆收藏的老件不接待16歲以下青少年，洗澡是一體成型的簡易型淋浴設備
