Excellent stay. It was our first time using an Onsen and we had a good time using the baths after a long day. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and kind and gave us a ride to the station after we checked out. The location is close to the main sites. Would highly recommended this hotel.

Everything was quiet. The staff were kind and, between our broken Japanese and their broken English, we could communicate. Our room was nicer than expected. It was our first ryokan. Everything seemed old but well cared for, and it gave the place a comforting character.

A warm, gentle, and homely ryokan that made my solo journey feel gentle and special. The atmosphere was cozy and peaceful—ideal for resting after days of exploring. The utilities were old-school, which added a unique charm and authenticity to the space. The staff were genuinely kind and accommodating. A nice experience ☺️ If you stay here I recommend to hire a bike so you can easily travel around Takayama!
