Nestled in the peaceful Taro village, Nag Shampa Private Estate by Sam and Isabella Branson is an estate that’s truly at one with nature. Its name, which means “incense of love” in Sanskrit, is designed as the ultimate wellness retreat. Combining modern design with traditional Javanese architecture, this property embodies elegant authenticity. The Ubud villa can host up to 16 guests in eight ensuite bedrooms; perfect for big groups of families and friends travelling together.
With over one hectare to explore, the estate is a living, breathing feast for the senses. Make full use of its yoga shala, where you can exercise, meditate or just savour some quiet time. Enjoy healthy, homestyle meals prepared daily by three in-house cooks, using fresh produce from the estate’s organic orchards and vegetable gardens. Swim and soak in its five inviting pools, or unwind at the massage studio and various relaxation zones throughout the estate.
Walk through lush greenery that lead to three impressive Joglo-style buildings that respectively house the Istana Suite (the master bedroom), an 18-seater dining area, and a lofty living area that leads to the main pool and yoga shala. Next to the shala, two symmetrical pairs of Joglo-style structures contain four additional bedrooms, followed by a series of three Kubu pool villas that each have a hammock on the balcony.

POOL AREA:
There are a total of 5 pools
• The two main pools measure 41m x 1.4m x 28m and 10m x 1.4m x 10m
• 3 plunge pools measure the same 6m x 1.4m x 3m
• All pools are chlorinated pools
• Pool 2 has a shallow end for kids
• All five pools are set to ambient temperature
• There are a total of thirteen lounge chairs, fifteen sun umbrellas, and fourteen sunbeds
• Towels are provided at each villa pool
COMMON AREAS:
• The living area provides a separate, air-conditioned room for relaxation on the ground floor.
• The dining and kitchen areas are conveniently located next to each other, offering an open and inviting space.
KITCHEN & DINING:
• The kitchen is equipped with oven, refrigerator, espresso coffee machine, microwave, freezer, blender, juicer, toaster, stove, mini bar, rice cooker, wine fridge, water dispenser, as well as essential cooking tools, cutlery, and drinking glasses.
• The main indoor dining area features a rectangular table that seats 16 guests.
WELLNESS:
• Yoga mats are available on request and the spacious garden provides a serene setting for practicing yoga.

Exceeding the number may invalidate any insurance policy on the property. Entry or access to the property may be refused or limited where the number of guests exceeds the stated requirement.

Nyepi Day is a day of absolute silence throughout the island and it is observed from 6:00 AM until 6:00 AM the next morning. No outdoor activities are allowed and there will be no check-in and check-out from properties on 19 Mar 2026, 08 Mar 2027 and 26 Mar 2028.
