Location is very ideal with easy access to all the bars, restaurants and shops along Amir Temur Street and surrounding areas. The rooms are old-style and yet modern and comfortable. Reception was very busy during most of my stay, but still very efficient and polite. I cannot see what I would gain by staying in one of the neighbouring international chain hotels - for almost twice the price. I recommend the CityPalace Hotel in Tashkent.

No TV, no fridge, no microwave. Elevator would get stuck between levels commonly. Elevator buttons don’t stay in the wall. Rooms are mostly clean but bathrooms are outdated with old toilet that sometimes doesn’t flush. Hair is always found on the towels which are also dirty. Carpet also seems like it was never vacuumed. There were a couple of dead bugs. Keycards for the hotel room doors will randomly stop working. Staff is mostly friendly. Lobby and lobby bar is clean. Breakfast has decent variety.
