Promising but needs a lot of service improvements

Prior to our stay, we clearly indicated it was a birthday & anniversary trip, and while it was acknowledged via electronic messaging there was no acknowledgement of our request upon check-in. Despite clearly operating below capacity, services were slow & impersonal. We made spa reservations and when it was time for our massage, we were told the spa was closed for the day! They made us feel as if we were an afterthought and made little effort to rectify the situation. For a resort that's remote, there should have been a concierge serve to coordinate activities with clear options and pricing. Dining options were limited and lackluster. I highly suggest, at the very list a rotating menu during the week. Worth noting is the outrageous pricing- charging $100 for a $15 bottle of wine, is UNACCEPTABLE! Please do better.
