First room we were given, the toilet didn’t flush, second was poor… neither had the view stipulated in the booking… sheets and headboard stained… had to seperate the twin beds for my son and myself, and this led to seeing loads of loose cables behind the bed and a plug not secured behind the bed… the hotel smelt fusty and damp, very noisy, two men held a loud coversation outside the bedroom at 1:47 this morning… the wall paper was peeling from the wall… the shower curtain was yellow at the bottom… no catering available and the hotel is miles from anywhere to get any food… Very disappointed with this.

Room was clean but that was the only saving grace. There was no food nor anywhere really close to get any. and even no change at the bar and most of the drinks were unavailable. It appears to have been only one member of staff on duty as he was running about performing all things. What really set the icing on the cake was the complete lack of spoons with the tea and coffee in the room and no biscuits which would have offset the lack of food. It felt too much bother to make the trek to find someone to get me a spoon. This place really does have the potential to be a good hotel but the lack of thought in the little things have completely let it down. It's all well and good getting people into the place to stay and the room was not expensive but no food for hungry people, not enough drinks and a till not full of change - the longer that goes on, then more reviews are going to be like this.

The price is levelled correctly for the cleanliness and quality. Although as a proud/caring dog owner the dust and dirt in the room did not warrant the £20 additional charge for my dog. The hotel food should be marketed clearer. There is no food provision other than going out or ordering a takeaway. Don’t love, don’t hate… but could be an amazing hotel with a slightly higher cost for little more effort on small things. E.g. Shower did not work, dirty towel rail, not enough towels for two people, no spoons to make drinks, no power by desk so had to sit kettle on a chair.

Not the best sadly but ok for one night. Bed had crisp packets under it, bathroom cold despite radiator being on. New owners from last month so some policies have changed like check in time but they kindly allowed me to check in half an hour early at 1430. Hotel needs money spent on it as very dated sadly. The room was not well cleaned (dust on wall lights and carpet. Room was also very cold so it wasnt the sleep i was lookimg for. Only 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo (tiny bottles) provided for a booking of 4 people. Cubwebs in the bethroom, rusted bathroom rail with stained shower curtain. Thebstay was not worth the money paid!
