Villa Clara is a beautiful private residence located in the municipality of Tertenia (NU), on the eastern coast of Sardinia, in the stunning Ogliastra region. An ancient land once inhabited by shepherds, rich in history and traditions and home to no fewer than 77 Nuraghi, this enchanting area is located approximately 100 km from Cagliari.
Villa Clara is situated in the seaside area known as Sarrala, or Marina di Tertenia. Lovingly built by its owner, Clara, the villa will surprise you with its wonderful and strategic location.
Set on a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside, the villa offers beautiful views stretching towards the sea. Its magnificent 6,000 sqm unfenced garden is filled with fruit trees, myrtle, bougainvillea, roses, lemon trees, ancient olive trees and a beautiful pink pepper tree. The scents and tranquillity of the garden create a truly peaceful oasis where you can completely relax.
Within just a 5-minute drive, you can reach several beautiful beaches, including Foxi Manna and Foxi Murdegu. Both offer wide stretches of fine sand and crystal-clear, pristine waters with gently sloping seabeds. The beaches are easily accessible and offer both paid and free parking.
A small beach kiosk provides umbrellas and sun loungers for rent, as well as excellent food and exceptionally warm hospitality.
THE SPACE
You can conveniently park your car in the entrance courtyard, where you will also find a practical cold-water outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.
Villa Clara welcomes you with spacious, bright interiors. The high ceilings, finished with traditional Sardinian bamboo canes using an ancient local technique, together with the handmade terracotta floors crafted using traditional methods, give the entire home an elegant and refined atmosphere.
The living area consists of a large, welcoming open space featuring a fully equipped kitchen and two dining tables for indoor meals. A comfortable sitting area overlooks the garden through a beautiful floor-to-ceiling window and leads directly to the spectacular patio.
The outdoor patio is furnished with an 8-seater dining table, white wicker sofas and a barbecue area, making it the perfect setting for enjoying long summer evenings together.
The living area is air-conditioned and also includes the first full bathroom, equipped with a washing machine, as well as a convenient storage room that can be used as a pantry.
A staircase decorated with beautiful antique blue ceramics leads to the sleeping area, where you will find three bedrooms, all equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning.
The upstairs bathroom is spacious and features a double sink and a shower.
The sea-view bedroom features an antique French-style double bed, a wardrobe, an antique writing desk and a small library available for guests to enjoy.
The second double bedroom provides access to a rear terrace, where a beautiful and lush wisteria offers welcome shade and fills the air with its wonderful fragrance.
The sleeping area is completed by a charming bedroom featuring two antique boat-style single beds and a large wardrobe.
Villa Clara is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.
PLEASE NOTE
The property is not fenced . From time to time, several friendly stray cats may visit the outdoor patio in search of food. They are harmless and do not enter the house, but they may come looking for cuddles and food. Guests are welcome to interact with them as they wish.
Especially at night, you may also occasionally see hedgehogs around the property. They are completely harmless and very cute, but we would like to highlight their presence for guests travelling with other pets or anyone who may feel uncomfortable around animals.
