I was extremely disappointed. I paid to stay for an additional few hours as my flight is late in the day. While I was out housekeeping bagged my bags. They didn’t see the notes and additional payment (according to them), even though I verified it before I left for the day.

The check in staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and cozy. The new A/C unit was nice and quiet but had a hard time getting the room below the 74* range. This Motel 6 has come a long way and I enjoy staying here every time I come to Thousand Oak. I recommend it fully.

on our cross country road trip we have stayed at lots of Motel 6 properties as we are doing this on a budget, and I can say this is hands-down the best motel six we have stayed at. The common areas are clean and inviting, including the pool and deck area, laundry facility, and dedicated dog park. The staff is professional and courteous. I left an important item in the room and it was retrieved unmolested and they called me promptly to let me know they had it. The room was clean and bed comfortable. there was not an inordinate amount of unsavory characters lurking about as is sometimes the case at some motel six properties. If you are traveling on a budget, I highly recommend this property.

I should be entitled to a refund, there was no hot water on the property. The staff simply said they had maintenance working on it. This is horrible experience staying at a hotel without access to shower. The front office carelessly offered 15% back and stated, you still stayed and access the room and had a bed to sleep therefore we cant issue a full refund.

A lot of things didn’t work, upon checking in I was informed there was no hot water, they offered to give me a 10% discount, but couldn’t do so because I booked through a third-party, (Expedia). Not that 10% is much, but I appreciated the effort. The towels are pretty threadbare, I prefer a softer bed, but it was comfortable enough. Went to use the iron, didn’t work. Good place to just rest and sleep. I hadn’t planned on spending that much time in the room to begin with. But that’s something they should work on. However, it was a good stay on all. I would stay again, but be a little more strong with my request to fix things. I know you get what you pay for, but I paid for it and I should’ve gotten what was advertised.

Extremely dissatisfied.

When my family arrived from the airport for check in, we had to resort to calling the front desk number in order to get service as the clerk was clearly asleep in a back room. Once checked in we discovered the air conditioner did not blow cold air and the water was ice cold in the shower. When I notified the front desk about the water issue the following morning at around 8am the clerk seemed completely unaware of the issue and said that maintenance would come. He did, but just told us to wait it out. We couldn’t and for the next two days my family and myself had to take cold showers. At check out when it was Mentioned again the lady at the desk had nothing to say, not even an apology for the inconvenience. No discounts or comped room, just extremely dissatisfied guests and a staff that didn’t seem to care at all. Our family does not usually complain about things and will tolerate quite a bit, but this was totally unacceptable and was definitely the low light of our short trip. Through our several trips and countless hotels stays, this was an experience that we will not repeat by visiting another Motel 6.
