Our flight was due to be in on Monday but it got in on tuesday we talked to the front desk and explained what happened and they told us they would only charge for three days. After we checked out, a new front desk lady argued with us about how we are going to be charged the full 4 days. After arguing with them about how we were told we would only be charged three days she said to reach out to Hotels.com and tell them to submit a refund for the a day and they would approve it. We did that and Hotels.com is saying the hotel will not approve it even though we were told by the hotel they would approve it. Either the hotel or hotels.com is lying and I am requesting a one day refund.

It is super noisy at the hotel. Sirens going off all night long. The cleanliness of the hotel and room is only okay. The upside It is a super convenient location right by the metro and walking distance to many restaurants, convenient stores, and such.
I have never left a negative review on a property before - this was possibly one of the worst places I've ever stayed at in Tokyo with a 7.5 rating.
Mattresses are stained. Shower curtains are moldy. Room is tiny, however cannot fault that as you know what you are getting into. Bathroom is basically a box.
Also, I wanted my luggage transported however staff were hesitant to do so and largely unfriendly. Had to ask at different times of the day so we would get some other staff members who were more willing.
This hotel is on the main road and hence it is incredibly loud. You may not be able to sleep at night as there are always sirens going off.
I am surprised at so many positive reviews. I strongly believe that a lot of these reviews are fake to pump up the rating.
Do not stay here.

This hotel is conveniently located right beside a train station making it very easy to plan your trips and hop on a train. Property is older and rooms are small. The hospital is located a few blocks away so you hear the ambulance and sirens a lot, especially at night
Dirty rooms and small spaces. We will not be back.

The staff were really great and accommodating. The room had a twin bed with about two ft clearance of floor around it. For the price we paid. It was not great. I think prices are up because of tourism boom. Location is literally 10 m from Shinjuku Higashi exit. Neighborhood is full of hostess and host bars. Close to Golden Gai. There are lots of all night eateries. Next time I’d like to stay in Shimokitazawa or Koenji as I found it quite loud with sirens all night long. Oh and they’ve got to do something about those tiny hard pillows. Hard for Westerners to get used to. Maybe offer as an option. It’s probably ok for one person but as two people we found navigating the space in the room to be a challenge.
At first the rooms seemed allright but as our stay went on we noticed more and more details, moldy blind and corners in the bathroom were showing.
The very tight configuration of the room was also starting to take its toll.
The hotel staff is very nice and fix all of my issues. Very quit and nice place to stay. The front desk went out of their way to solve my issues so I am very impressed
Extremely small, not a single place to store or even open any luggage. Bathroom is tiny to the point where you can barely shower. Main sink and shower are connected, so if one person is showering, no one can use the sink. No safe in the room. Fridge did not work.

The single room was tiny. There's no cupboard for clothes. I stayed for 1 week and had my belongings on the floor.
