The hotel was great overall, but we did have a weird issue with the power in the room. You need to keep your key card in a slot by the door. This will turn on all the lights and the wifi, but what they don't tell you anywhere in the room is that there is a small button on the headboard labeled room 1 or 2 that will allow you to turn the main lights off while keeping power to outlets and WiFi. We almost had to sleep with the lights on until we checked reddit

convenient location, need to improve overall clean

location and breakfast is excellent, room size is good and spacious. However, the room is not clean, carpet with stain, toilet with stinky smell. My family especially dislike the that only fitted sheet but no quilt cover is provided, kind of not clean. Room service is provided every 3 days, so guests put all used towels and garbage outside the rooms, looks very messy.

People were really nice and accommodating. Bed was a little hard for us being from the US, but that’s pretty standard when outside the country, so nothing bad against them. They provided many supplies if needed like toothbrushes, razors, hygiene supplies, shower supplies, etc. great location for just walking outside and finding shopping, food, transit nearby. Would stay again.

don’t know how this place was rated so high. i did my due diligence and thought i made a good decision, but after checking in and seeing the room, condition of the bed, and slippers, we considered checking in to another property.

I was looking for a clean hotel that wasn’t unreasonably expensive. Since my kids are in elementary school, I wanted a place that wasn’t too small — and this hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, and we were given a corner room with a great view of the Tokyo cityscape.

This is a really good hotel. It’s in the most perfect Ueno location. All the restaurants and shopping are walking distance. The train station is also a short walk away from the hotel. The rooms are not elaborate or luxurious but the price is reasonable and worth it. They do charge for an extra pillow. The breakfast is also good. I do like that you can get a later check-out time but it will cost you. They also charge for storing luggage. So they do charge you for anything extra but that is true of most of the similar hotels in the area. I would stay here again. The location wins.

Good Hotel near Station at Ueno

Booked several rooms for our family holiday, most of the hotels in other platform and in Tokyo is only limit to 3 persons inside the room, most of it 6 years old is considered an adult already. Good thing hotels.com have consistency in number of occupancy, we were able to book one family which consist of 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 3 years old). There is no daily housekeeping, but they provide fresh towels everyday, the hotel has to look into making sure that the hotel is clean, the above the ref is dusty, i was able to discover it when i dropped something and need to move the minibar, the walls of the lobby needs dusting also. On the ground floor there is a 7-11 which is very convenient, i will recommend this hotel to stay if visiting Tokyo, nearest subway is Ueno-okachimach Station and Ueno station (Ginza Line or Hibiya Line)

Great location, great view of the skytree from the rooms. A convenient store is located just at the bottom of the entrance for quick access. What made no sense was the limited coin laundry machines and the limited hours for usage. We go out during the day and return at night. Laundry machines that cannot be used after 8pm are not helpful for guests who want to maximize their day exploring.

Near Ueno Station

Close to Ueno station. Arrived early day 1 so went and left our bags and then explored Ueno Park and the beautiful cherry blossoms. Very close to lots of food options and shopping too. Room was decently sized for Tokyo. Separate toilet room and shower room. Plenty of space for two suitcases and even a desk with chair. We found this to be just what we needed. Note though that the lifts were super slow.
