This was our first family vacation that included our two little grandsons. We had plenty of room to spread out in 4 bedrooms, lots of beds, with 3 bathrooms to accommodate the 7 of us. The house was very clean, with an eclectic vibe. Lots of labeled drawers and cupboards in the kitchen, and the dishwasher was much appreciated. Fishing was mediocre, but we caught enough to keep the 4 year old excited. We were just a little late for the spring fishing peak. There were lots of games for inside play, 3 TV's, and outdoor gear for fun in the backyard. The lake view was breathtaking through the large windows and from the accessible backyard. My husband has some mobility issues, so a gentle slope down to the lake and an easy approach to the pier, where we tied up our small boat, worked well. Tomahawk is a sleepy little northern town. They get high marks for a modern accessible playground and splash pad, ice cream shops and lots of bars and restaurants. The Tilted Loon on Lake Nokomis was a wonderful night out for the family with great food and a friendly staff. On a Friday or Saturday night, get on the waiting list before you go, or stand in line when you get there. The hosts and the property management company thought of everything for a perfect stay. We had the perfect family vacation at Foster's lake house.
