The hotel is new and vey modern but some of the modern features are quirky - like the controls to raise and lower the blinds. We had booked an upper floor room but were offered a lower floor room that was larger for no additional cost. The extra space and small couch were very nice to have as extras. This too was on the 3 floor and had windows in the sitting area overlooking the street. The street is noisy at night especially because there is a hospital nearby. The terrace on the 14th floor ii really lovely and and a very nice amenity. We had some time to relax and that was a lovely place to do that. The fitness centre is also very nice - well equipped and with nice big windows looking out over the city. The hotel restaurant menu looks great but they don't do lunch - Just breakfast and dinner. The breakfast we had was excellent. Great food, generous portions and excellent service.

Good stay but some issues

Overall, a good and pleasant hotel. The staff were polite and friendly. However, I would like to mention a few drawbacks we experienced: 1. There was a strange smell coming from the bathroom, like some kind of chemical. 2. After flushing, the toilet tank made loud noises for a couple of minutes. 3. The plumbing seemed new, but didn’t work very well. The shower water pressure was not very strong. Breakfasts were okay. The menu offers one dish and one drink per person. Not the most delicious, but the portions were large. The service at the café was good. However, there were always flies flying around, landing on us and our food, which was very annoying. Other than that, the room was nice, the staff were great, and there was an excellent terrace on the 14th floor, where you can relax comfortably on sofas and enjoy your time.

Really stylish rooms, very good restaurant, and a nice terrace for all guests on the 14th floor. It's a 10 minute walk to St. Lawrence Market. Nearest underground (subway) station is Queen or Dundas (another 10 minute walk). Most of the attractions in Central Toronto are within walking distance.

Actual hotel was nice along with the room. Area is a bit rougher but nothing crazy for a big city. My only real issue was with check in they gave us a room that was already occupied and we walked in on someone in their room. They put us in a same room with no upgrade after the incident. They were very apologetic and kind but it made me feel very uneasy knowing that this could happen to us during our stay.
