This is in a good location close to the subway to the centre but also with shopping and museums on the door step. The rooms are a good size and the staff were lovely. It does however feel quite basic. The kitchen was very basically equipped, you couldn’t cook much of a meal there. The pillows were awful. There was a balcony but it was locked up and no key. There is a former swimming pool on the basement floor but it’s been shut down. In terms of comfort and quality this is a three star place at best really.

Very spacious kitchen, all appliances were in working order. Minimal kitchen tools at our disposal. The rooms lacked decor, the whole place was rather drab. The sink and shower were clean but the walls were dirty with stains and hairs. The worst part were the beds: old coil mattresses. I opted to sleep on the couch instead. While it was not horrible, I would not return.

The rooms and locations are great. The blinds are translucent, bright white lighting, one towel was stained, no climate control ran all night on and off making the room freezing, bed sheets are of poor quality and of itchy material, pillows are thin as paper, no desk to do work …. This hotel has a lot of potential

This is obviously an older hotel. The place need some upgrades and TLC. This is not apparent in the lobby. It is very welcoming, beautiful and clean. However once in the room we were quite disappointed. I don't have any issues with older decor or paint. My issue is when things are just run down and not taken care of. The wall paper was ripping in some areas. Not to mention the cleanliness was sub-par in the least. The floors were not very clean and worst of all was the walls. They were covered in dirt and grime. There was a liquid of some sort dropped in the past and the wall and door into the bedroom were covered in the splatter. Other gross bits on the walls in mutliple areas. Baseboards filthy. Noticed this when I plugged my phone charger in. The bed and other linen was clean and very soft. I thought the bed was comfy but my travel partner on the other bed disagreed. I dont think I would go back. I am not a picky person and gladly stay in 3 star hotels all the time. But cleanliness is a must!

Parking garage under construction but still allowing parking, dust all over the cars down there. No access to the balcony which sucked. Parking should be included in the price of the hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located downtown Toronto in close proximity to business, shopping areas, restaurants, and transit stations. It's also well maintained and staff is extremely friendly and helpful!
