We enjoyed our stay in Totnes - a lovely and interesting small town with plenty to do. The hotel is an older building and in many places could do with a little investment in the rooms. Staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent.

Beware, there is no elevator. Parking is nonexistent, and I had to park on the street, but at least it was free after 6 pm and since it was Saturday/sunday, it was free. There was a problem with the boiler, and there was no hot water, but we worked around that.The hotel itself was built in the 1600 s and so was quaint and beautiful. Food was great, service was great, and the coffee perfect.

A most amazing stay very last minute! I booked on the evening of my stay short notice, upon arrival I checked in & was shown to my room … a gracious little room aptly named ‘ The shoe box’ so cute everything I needed as a solo traveler.
