Ardo exceeded our expectations as far as the property was concerned. The rooms were a little bare with very few toiletries, no couch, and what strived to be an industrial looking ceiling, really was the dividing concrete between storeys. The most important things were all nailed; a diverse team, every one of whom was friendly and helpful. After a 14 hour day, it was nice to be met with a no fuss check in, and a great sense of humour. The rooftop pool and restaurant is like nothing I’ve ever seen before, for this reason we will be back. Thanks team Ardo for an overall lovely stay in TSV.

There’s no doubt this is a good hotel. But it was evident that it was pretty empty so we were very disappointed to be given a room on the second floor with a view of the car park, rather than on the opposite side that has spectacular views out over the ocean. If they’d done that we would have considered staying again. We won’t be back to look at the car park.

Great stay at Ardo, spotlessly clean, comfortable, great staff and fabulous food. Only negatives are that the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, you have to go to the Ville next door. Also, I would expect a hotel of this standard to have a coffee machine in the room.

A couple of minor things: Couldn’t cast iPhone to TV - had staff come and look at it but wouldn’t work. iPad instead of phone in room - couldn’t ring reception for assistance as internet down. No top sheet on bed - some like just doona - but quality resorts generally have top sheet. Breakfast was $45 each and yet signage in dining area said $27. Also had to pay for coffee / hot chocolate on top, so $100 for brekkie was a bit steep. Coffee in room was drip filtered and tasted awful.
