We respect our guests' privacy and aim to provide a seamless, independent stay. We will not be present on the property during your visit but are readily available via the messaging app should you need any assistance or local recommendations. We will provide you with a printed house manual and digital guidebook to help answer any questions that may come up. Our team is available 8am - 9pm PT.


Tahoe Donner is a quaint, family oriented community. Tahoe Donner is perfectly situated near some of the best ski resorts in Tahoe. This includes North Star, Palisades, and Sugar Bowl. We are on a major road with good snow plowing and clearing during the winter months. In the summer, it's only a 10 minute drive down to Donner Lake. There are also tons of running and biking trails right down the street, in addition to a beautiful golf course.

Guests will have access to the entire home (with the exception of a couple locked closets/cabinets). There is room for 2 cars in the garage.

Our spacious three-level home features four bedrooms, an open-concept living area, and a cozy loft perfect for unwinding after a day of Truckee adventures.

Main Level:
- Large bunk room with four double beds, a walk-in closet (with a desk), and an ensuite bathroom
- Two bedrooms with queen beds and full closets
- Additional bathroom, spacious laundry room, and garage

Second Level:
- Open-concept living room with a pool table, wood-burning stove, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a comfy couch with double doors leading to the hot tub
- Large kitchen with breakfast bar, updated appliances, and a booth-style dining table
- Master bedroom with a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom
- Half bath

Third Level:
- Cozy loft with a massive sectional couch and large Smart TV with streaming services

The Cabin is located 15 minutes from downtown Truckee, approximately 25 minutes from Northstar Ski Resort and about 3 hours from San Francisco. Lake Tahoe is a quick 20-25 minute drive. Other ski resorts, such as Squaw and Alpine Meadows are very close as well! The opportunities are endless! Lyft, Uber, and Taxis operate in the greater Truckee area.

To ensure a transparent and wonderful stay, please review these important details:
- Hot Tub Cleanings: We schedule hot tub cleanings ahead of all guest arrivals. In the event the hot tub is serviced on they day of your arrival, the spa may still be heating up do to a recent cleaning. If you notice the spa is not hot when you get to the house, please notify us so we can check with the company to confirm this is expected.
- No access for Tahoe Donner amenities
- Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, we do not have air conditioning.
- Outdoor furniture may not be available in the winter months (October - May).
- During the winter months, we recommend 4WD.
- Due to extreme wildfire risk, any type of outdoor wood burning fireplaces, fire pits, or charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in fines starting at $5,000 per Lake Tahoe short term rental regulations.
- This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in additional fines and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
- As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
- Events or parties are not allowed under any circumstances. Parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed.
- Guests will have access to the entire home (with the exception of a couple locked closets/cabinets).
- Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a full list of the local STR Rules.
- In the event of a power outage, there is an emergency kit, located on a shelf in the laundry room.
