The place itself was amazing and the staff were so accommodating. We stayed there for the diving and they did a great job. Had the place to ourselves basically. Pools were refreshing and dining was good. Limited bar and very limited options in the area outside of the resort.

This is the first time I’ve been back to Liberty in years, and it is still the same wonderful resort. The staff have been there for a long time, and are all lovely. Breakfasts are good. The gorgeous tropical gardens are amazing to walk through. The location is good, very easy to walk to all the dining options. 3 pools, so you could find sun or shade any time during the day. Our room was great too, loads of space and very well kept. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Tulamben.

The hotel is nice and rustic. No TV, and nothing special about it, but it is nice, clean, quiet, and the staffs were friendly. That's all we were looking for after the hustle and bustle of Kuta. There are 3 nice and clean pools at the hotel which we used extensively. The beach is a pebble beach, so unless you are there for diving, there is nothing much you can do there. The waters are too murky for snorkeling or swimming.

This is an amazing property. Your room is a house with 12’ ceilings. The grounds are kept immaculate. The flowers that rain down every night are swept up by the staff every morning. The pools are crystal clear. The scuba staff is very knowledgeable and thoughtful. I couldn’t recommend more. What a great place to get away!

Excellent séjour au Liberty Dive Resort. Nous avons loué la villa familiale et tout était parfait. La literie est confortable, les serviettes sont moelleuses, eau potable à disposition. Piscines propres et très belles . Les moniteurs de plongée sont très sympathiques et les spots de plongée sont incroyables. Attention, plage de galets, la mise à l’eau peut être chaotique ! Petit village à proximité immédiate à pied qui permet d’aller au supermarché ou de déjeuner au restaurant.

This is the second occasion I have stayed at Liberty for a diving week and I was not disappointed. Wayan and his team provided excellent service and they all work hard to personalise your stay. Communication pre-travel and during our stay was responsive, clear and matched the service provided. Airport transfers and short day trips were a breeze and well organised. The location is great for diving the many sites around Talumben and the dives guides are super flexible and knowledgeable. The onsite massage at the end of the day are sensational! Love this place.

An excellent stay in Tulamben

Staff here are nice, sincere and helpful. Liberty Resort is my third time to stay. This trip is for freediving and finding Mola. They could arrange us the transportation to Padang Bai in early morning at 0600 to join the Mola’s dive and also prepared us the early breakfast! So warm and considerate. Thank you! Besides, not far away has a convenience store called Indomark. Really great!

Overall a comfortable and peaceful stay in beautiful gardens and pools in a very spacious villa. Staff were cheerful and excellent. Meals were good. I went scuba diving for two days and my wife relaxed. My wife would have enjoyed her stay a whole lot more if TV or cable TV was available. Also there was no phone in the room that was a bit inconvenient. The costs for diving with the resort were higher than dive shops in the local area which I used. I suggest the resort have TV and phone and offer more competitive priced diving packages

A dive resort which is also great for non-divers

My husband and I stayed in Liberty Dive Resort for 5 days. For a diver like him, the resort is close to the sea where you could enjoy sunrise diving or arrive the Liberty Wreck site in just a few minutes. For a non-diver like me, the resort could arrange half-day/full-day tours, from the beautiful landscapes of east Bali, to the shopping of local souvenirs like luwark coffee and wooden crafts. Most important of all (at least for me), the best way to call the day would be the relaxing and soothing Balinese massage, especially for the divers. The cost is definitely reasonable at USD 10 per hour. And, there is an Indomaret convenience store just within 5-min walking distance from the resort. You could grab some ice-cream as a treat after the hot and sunny days. Everything is just perfect. The place and people of Liberty Dive Resort would not let you down.
