Our stay started off poorly, as we were not sent info for how to enter the house. We reached out before we arrived, but it took the manager an hour after we arrived at the property to contact us. We reached out via the app, contacted VRBO, and tried to call him to no avail. Once we finally got into the house and had some dinner, we decided to go into the hot tub…but it wasn’t hot. So we had to wait overnight for it to heat up. Given that we reached out ahead of time to confirm that it would be ready for us, we were sorely disappointed. Be prepared to change in the bathroom…between the gaps in the curtains on the bedrooms’ French doors and the mirrors, there’s very little privacy (privacy window clings would be an excellent addition). Sound travels, so not much privacy there either. The house was small but sufficient. It was a tight fit getting our group to sit together at the table or in the living room, but we made it work. The grill worked great! Plenty of electric cookers and pans, but no ice cream scoop. Isn’t that mandatory in a VRBO? And why only 1 extra roll of toilet paper for 8 people for a week stay?The location of this house is perfect! The proximity to the beach, with its short walk through the dunes is why we chose this property and it was everything we expected! The beach is extensive when the tide is out and even though we were there during a busy week, we had ample space to ourselves. All in all, if we return to Tybee Island, we’d stay here again.
