Paradise begins where the road ends. Casa Almendra is set in Marisma Spirit, a protected natural area between Vejer and the Atlantic, far from crowded resorts and hotels. Here, wetlands, forests, and a starry sky—only interrupted by distant farmhouse lights—define the landscape. The region’s wide, unspoiled beaches are just 20 minutes away, and from the property itself you can explore the Barbate river on foot, by bike, or by kayak.
This house is the original farmhouse of the estate, thoughtfully renovated to blend Andalusian rustic charm—thick walls—with a modern, bright, open interior. Its 55 m² offer a master bedroom with air conditioning, a spacious living-dining area with fireplace, and a loft designed for two children or one adult to rest. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bathroom is functional and welcoming. It’s an ideal space to share while enjoying personal privacy.
Outside, several terraces provide different settings for dining, reading, or relaxing in the sun. A large country table in front of the house is perfect for outdoor meals. Guests are free to roam the 1.5-hectare estate—a lush garden with hundreds of plant species, winding paths, ancient trees, and horse paddocks. A small saltwater pool, nestled in the garden, offers a peaceful spot to cool off.
Access is via an unlit sandy track through the La Janda nature reserve. In summer, you can park inside the estate; in winter, parking is on the upper road and the last stretch is on foot along a natural path (not suitable for wheeled suitcases). Casa Almendra is a living place in the heart of nature, where birdsong accompanies your stay.
