I really never write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I stayed at this hotel for two nights and woke up the first morning covered in mosquito bites—at least a dozen. I initially thought I had left the window open, but it was shut tight. Turns out, mosquitoes were somehow getting into the room, possibly through the vents or tiny gaps in the windows.
I reported it to the front desk, hoping for some understanding or even a simple apology, but the staff were fairly dismissive. The receptionist laughed and said “It’s a Venice problem.” as if being eaten alive overnight is part of the package deal. Highly doubt that’s the approach at every hotel in the city.
It’s incredibly frustrating to pay what we did and wake up itching and uncomfortable, only to have the hotel act like it’s not really a problem. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to think twice before booking here—especially if you value a good night’s sleep.
