I booked the reservation based on the fact that they had shuttle service to the airport as I had an early morning flight. When I checking in I was informed that there would be no shuttle service because I had not let them know 24 hours in advance that I needed that. Well, I did let them know I needed shuttle service and had talked to the front desk days in advance. So, this free shuttle service cost me an extra 50 euro in taxis because they lied. I wont ever book a Crown Plaza or IHG hotel again because of this. Hope losing my business was worth 50.00.

First room had 3 buckets for leaking roof. “Upgrade” suit still smelled like mold. Hallways smelled. Carpets were nasty. Cracked walls. Air vent looked rusted. Shower stall clean but cracked and rusty walls. Sheets looked clean. Convenient location. Bad breakfast.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and shuttle to and from the airport was the real plus. The rooms were fair at best. The only place to eat that was in walking distance was the restaurant in the hotel.

We arrived around 19:30h and we got room 345, which is a 3 bedded! We were 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. The TRAINEE at the reception said a 4th bed will be made! So, check in starts at 3pm, why was the 4th bed not ready ?? What if we wanted to rest immediately? Anyway, we went for dinner and hoped the 4th bed will be ready when we are back! We got back around 21:30h and the 4th bed was still not made. So I went back to the reception, talked to the TRAINEE, at that moment there were 2 Trainees, I just wondered if there was one other reception who had more experience! Anyway, a guy was sent to our room who just separated the double bed and left without saying a word. After 10 minutes, I went down again and asked what’s up with the 4th bed?! The trainee told me it should be ready, I said no, because the guy just separated the double bed into 2. So we had 3 single beds ! At that time I just wanted a 4th bed and get rest! He brought us a ROLLING 4th bed! Missing a blanket, so we had to use the sheets, and I had to connect the single bed back to a double bed to have space in that room. We couldn’t have 4 single beds in there !!!!!! We didn’t have enough towels and slippers either! I immediately wrote this to the reception! We wanted a room change the following day ! We were already tired that Saturday and managed as it was. Next day we got a room change to 342!!! All was ok. I work in the same branch and I wouldn’t send my guests to a room that’s not completely ready for them!!!!!

We stayed over the night before our cruise. BEST idea ever!! Got to see San Marcos Square and take a gondola ride and still around the Grand Canal..all in a mess than 20 hour stay! Very convenient access to the train (2 min walk) and extremely helpful staff. Ruth was incredible and called us a taxi when we missed our first train (user error) She patiently told us all the ways to go and places to eat and helped every time we had a question, which was plenty. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful spread and then we sat outside on the patio to eat before we caught a train back to S. Lucia station to do some more sightseeing before we left for our cruise…again being that close to the train station was a life-saver
