Very serviceable but overpriced

I am a budget traveler but I sprung for this place because of reviews. I was expected a lot more given the reputation. The rooms have been remodeled in a haphazard fashion. The light bulbs were mismatched and the lighting very ugly. Bed was comfortable which is very important to me. Breakfast was very forgettable. Would have been a good value for 70% of the price. The front desk person also was going to charge me for the room twice. Fortunately she double checked and saw that we have prepaid.

This is an older hotel that has been completely remodeled and is a nice place to stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is good, the breakfast was good, the place seemed well kept, except the floor in our room was just dirty. The floors are hard surface which I like, but it was like they just vacuum and never really clean the floor. I suggest they start cleaning the floors between guests. The dirty floor marred an otherwise good experience.

Check in was easy and straightforward, friendly staff. We had a jacuzzi room, really large room with plenty of space. Jacuzzi was a two person, nice and relaxing after a day of hiking. Room was very clean, somewhat dated but nothing broken. Great bed, very comfortable. Shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was continental with a waffle maker. Location is great for food, lots of options within a 5 minute walk. Very close to the highway so easy to get around. We highly recommend staying at the Super 8.
