Great value for renovated rooms/baths; quiet; some homeless activity in a mostly commercial business area. No bother to us / but solo travellers may reconsider. No elevator.

The Arbutus met our needs exactly. Clean, comfortable, quiet and surprisingly affordable. It was close enough to downtown that my family could spend the day walking the shops of Victoria.

Comfortable and inviting

I was pleasantly surprised with the Arbutus Inn. It has been renovated and is very bright and inviting. I found it to be very clean and the staff to be friendly. I particularly want to thank the housekeeping staff and Rigel at the front desk who called me immediately after I'd checked out and driven away without my laptop. They held it for me until I could get back that afternoon and retrieve it. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in Victoria!

I will stay again in this hotel.

The location of the hotel was on the main road of Douglas Street which was easily located. The accommodation is excellent, but hotel has no provision of Drinking Water for the guests, which I found in other hotels in Victoria. Shampoo was not available to take a clean shower. Soap quality needs improvement.

This place is close to downtown and there is free parking. There are restaurants and fast places near by. Hotel is close to the main road and twice I was woken up around 5 am by ambulances. I have stayed there twice and the price is right.
